#11 Marquette (MSG), Tue., Feb. 4, 6:30p, FS-1

Just finished watching the game that I had to DVR, and following this thread as I watched it. What a great, f*cking win!!!!

How can you not love this team? The defensive intensity is phenomenal. I was pulling out my hair (I never should have gotten a haircut Monday) with every missed free throw.

Yeah, they make lots of boneheaded plays, but they are relentless, in every way. Crowd was really loud on TV. Wish I had been there.

Great games by the big 3, and good to see some good contribution from Smith, as well as everyone else who played. Unbelievable job on the boards.

Thank God for CRP. On to Pukon. Let's figure out a way to steal one on the road Friday!
The team's defensive prowess reminds me of several Virgina teams of the past decade or so, which was a final 4 team I believe.

What a win. What a fun team. That scrambling defensive possession with a minute left had me ready to run through a wall

Zuby played all 20 mins in the 2nd half which we needed him to do.

UConn loved watching that dogfight and our guys playing huge minutes while they have the midweek bye this week

Just not viable? The offspring of a dog and a pigeon would be more viable.

He is truly awful. He has no clue out there and it makes no sense to play him when Prey won’t hurt us.

I’m to the point where why not just play Maker 2 minutes around the under 12 and let his instincts guide him?
What is the purpose of stating "a dog and a pigeon would be more viable"? The young man is a player on the St John's basketball team. I can understand you being frustrated, but to DEMEAN one of our players in a manner like this, #CLASSLESS. Comments like yours are one of the reasons I don't enjoy this site as much as I used to.

Scott missed his first 3 shots, 2 open 3's and a dunk. Coach never wavered on him and Scott contributed mightily all night on the defensive end and hitting timely shots in the second half. As someone else pointed out, the free throws went down at the end to seal the victory. Amazing crowd again, i agreed it was 95/5 st johns. Let's sell out Creighton and please do not sell your Yukon tickets anywhere but here--keep their fans out of the building.

The defense all night by each and every one of our players was inspiring. Very focused (no doubt the Providence lapses helped the focus) and maximum effort. The rebounding was also on point. These traits should travel and not have any off nights. Love this team that definitely embodies NY with the blue collar mindset. The sky is the limit.
