Xavier (MSG), Wed., Jan. 22 , 7p, FS-1

Trying to record game but FS1 In South Florida lists a different Big East game and Fox and FS2 are also not us. Have DirectTV Stream, any suggestions? Thanks.
I'm in South Florida (Longboat Key, Sarasota area) and I have the game on FS1. Are you sure that you have the right day and time?

Sounds like Pitino is resting Smith tomorrow. Tough game becomes tougher. Owning the glass again will be imperative but Smith helps with that. Need another big Zuby game, he had 18 pts and 12 boards, 9 offensive last time against X.

Johnnies looking for just their third ever sweep over Xavier
Well said, his physicality, on ball pressure and rebounding can’t be compensated for easily. Expecting a close game & glad we’re home obviously.

The high is 19 degrees that’s with it being a sunny day ain’t good. I am definitely 🚕 it from 40th and Lex. Definitely having a few bourbons at Bourbon and Branch before the game to warm up.

Not a promising sign for turnout

I read on here years ago that we need to draw 10K to MSG games in order to break even. Not sure if that's true, but if it is that number might be a decent benchmark to use. Maybe we'll get around 11K since the Georgetown game got 12.7K and they have a bigger local fanbase.

Also, not to make excuses but having 7 straight MSG games is kind of unlucky for scheduling purposes, this is a game I could see many people skipping despite our new ranking. We deserve to have great attendance, but I'm not expecting it for this game.

Xavier's Big East schedule is extremely front-loaded.

After this coming Saturday, they'll be done with UCONN, St. John's, and Marquette.
If the Johnnies lose to Xavier, the way the schedule works out, I believe they will pass the team in the standings. Amazing how many feel that even without a good effort from Smith that this game is a definite win? Either false bravado or plain foolishness.

A team that beat DePaul, Nova at home in a close game, and a team that pulled off a miraculous win against Marquette after blowing a 20 point lead. They are a good BE team. We can beat them at reduced strength
We will see but if Smith does not play we will need a good game from Wilcher and KR, but if Luis is off say good night.

11,000 would be my estimate.
