SJU Portal Targets

He wasn’t found not guilty. That’s patently false. He was never criminally charged with anything. He was sued in civil court and the accuser dismissed the suit following a Title IX hearing in which he was expressly found “not responsible.” At the risk of getting on my soap box, the level of ignorance of many who rush to judgment is astounding.
If you think he was not found Not Guilty You are deluded.

VerdictNot guilty in violation of Penal Code Section 187(a), a felony upon Nicole Brown Simpson, a human being.
Not guilty in violation of Penal Code Section 187(a), a felony upon Ronald Lyle Goldman, a human being.

As good as Kadary is, I much prefer D. Smith. Just think he'd make our games electric.
Having this debate with a lot of SJU friends today. It's very interesting. Kadary has the benefit of doing it in the Big East. Bigger, more physical but a much worse 3 point shooter which is a point of need for SJU right now. Smith is a great distributor also, and rebounds really well for a small guard but shoots 40% from deep. Don't think you lose either way.

God yeah, either would be a phenomenal addition. Just my gut, but I sense we'd go farther with D. Smith.

True & I’d go Smith for that distribution factor you noted. I don’t get a vote though 😇

I take Smith. I feel like he can pull more offense out of our perimeter players and push the pace. I also love the idea of having a great athlete in the backcourt after last season.

I do think they can coexist. Smith isn’t a dribble the air out PG.

Factually , was he found with a 17 year old girl? With sexual assault being alleged ?
Justice in the Bahamas might not be as it is here in America .

All these words being thrown around are legal terms , not necessarily factual .

The Girl did sue him . As did the Goldman family against OJ . They received a guilty verdict with a Cash Award , which they never saw a Penny of .

Regardless of the legal conclusions , being sexually involved with a 17 year old girl is not a Character builder .

I will take either option. On paper, I prefer Smith. With Kadary, I think Pitino will have a plan to maximize his skillset and improve things he needs to improve on. And my guess is we will get a highly, highly motivated Kadary in his last year of basketball seeking to set himself up best for professional prospects.

If Richmond is the point guard handling the ball, what exactly will Wilcher's role be? Also, even though Richmond averaged 5.1 APG, he also averaged 3.1 TO's per game. Finally since his 3P% was only 27%, won't defenders back off of him thus creating problems for our 3 point shooters to get open? Just wondering how Richmond fits in.

I just said the same thing to the person who told me. Might be a chance for leverage to get a certain other guard we're targeting to make a quicker decision.
So, with regard to this issue , whatever it is, would Smith qualify to play here?
