Transfer Portal 2022

I'm use to it lol, been that day since day 1. And the reason is because they know I came over to this board when Mike Anderson was hired. So, any time they are mad about anything about the team and I post something that's not being negative, they know they can't vent their frustrations directly to CMA himself, so I'm the closets thing they can get to. I guess they think I'm related to him or something and I relay the messages to him. They'd be sadly disappointed to know I'm just a regular guy in Arkansas who loves college basketball in general and follows a few teams. But, hey whatever makes em feel better, it's funny to me.
Making Plays , are you surprised that some pre season 2023-2023 Rankings have Arkansas as Number 1 ? Musselmanns quickly built a National Contender there . No doubt about it .

Yes, absolutely, the thing Arkansas has that St. John's doesn't at the moment is big time donors will to fork over cash for big time recruits. I live about 3 miles from the university and all over the highways the basketball player's have big billboards up they have a bunch of NIL deals. I'm pretty sure all the top guys on Arkansas are making 6 figures now through NIL. Here we have the Waltons with Wal-Mart, JB Hunt, Tyson, etc., and we have no pro team so basketball and football players are celebrities and these people will pay whatever to be relevant, that's another thing that didn't work with CMA, he wasn't willing to look the other way on some stuff and that just ain't going to work here.

It's just different that's why I try not to compare. Musselman came in a great time, CMA changed the culture we were a bottom tier SEC school under the previous Coach John Pelphrey. CMA made it an attractive job again, then Musselman kept up the momentum and took it to a different level. TBH, I'm not a big fan of Musselman, he's a weird dude and does things differently, but he wins so you overlook that. Also, another thing he runs his program like a pro team, high turnover every year, essentially uses to portal as free agency and runs out whoever he needs to to make room for the next best player. He's ran off some Arkansas kids like Justice Hill, that I watched from the time he was in 9th grade and was excited he was a Hog, and he essentially told him he wasn't good enough to be a Hog, and now I gotta watch a kid I rooted for and watched in high school play against my Hogs the next 2 years because he's on LSU. I don't like things like this. The reason I like college basketball over the NBA is college you feel more apart of the team and watch kids grow. Like Julian for example, you get more invested seeing an unranked local kid like him play 3 years and then turn into an NBA prospect, you get more joy from that, rather than just watching a 1 year rental kid from the portal come in and leave after the end of the season.

Say what you will about Musselman he is killing it at Arkansas. Brought in 3 5-star HS All-Americans, has a good core coming back and now has landed 4 transfers: Jalen Graham-ASU, Mitchell Brothers from Rhode Island (who I think need a waiver since this is their second transfer) an Trevon Brazile from Missouri.

I was hoping for at least one lightning bolt this week; oh well, the week's not over yet.

Yep, he's killing it once again. He also brought the Martin twins to Nevada. The guy is either an amazing personality or.........

the Drame twins from St. Peter's are now in the portal.

Nice that St. Peter's caught lightning in a bottle, at least once. Hope they can restock to be competitive in the MAAC.

Kenneth Lofton Jr from La Tech in the portal. Will be one of the best players in the portal. Get ready for those has been contacted by tweets that lists 40 power 6 schools

Is he the son of Ken Lofton who played college hoops at Arizona and played pro baseball with Cleveland?
