Vacc is the best sports writer in my lifetime, always captures the unique story angle with tremendous style and flow;

Vacc is an excellent writer with his finger on the pulse of sports people in our area. LI guy, now living in Jersey. {We re-habbed in P.T. at the same place, after each of us broke our legs; he is actually a very quiet, unassuming guy}

He sees my St. John's hat and immediately tells me he is a big fan and even bigger fan of Looie, who was still alive at the time, even though Vacc is a Bonnie.

So much better than the other local Italian American sportswriter, "Mike", Lupica, pompous little ass.

Lupica sucks.

Bobcats had a 4 point lead at halftime last year when we played, 39-35. Then SJU flipped the switch and won 96-73
That was the teams MO last year. Won a lot of bets against SJU in the first half and on them in the second half. So many slow starts and great second halves. We'll see if this year's team is the same.

Games where a team is favored by such a large margin brings to mind a question--
Should the favored team do an all-out push to crush their opponents or should the coach give lots of PT to bench players and develop their in-game experience, while ensuring the win?

This obviously should be an easy one with some assessing and tinkering as a preparation step for the mega tough OOC wars we all wanted and team needed. Heading into BE play we should have a good feel for how much of a contender we are to replicate last year’s BE success and at least be a second week Dance participant & who knows perhaps better.

Go Johnnies.

Predictions:
Pecora’s : 65
Lavin’s. : 85
The strategy is to blow them out early. Second string gets significant minutes.
Gharbahge time for the third string, comprised of me, Otis, Panther, JCole and Tamba.
We ALL get cursed out by CRP who questioned us as to how we were raised.
Unfortunately me, Otis, and Panther tell him that we are so old, that we can’t remember.
