Alonso is like every other hitter on this team: streaky. There is not one consistent hitter on this team.
I’ll miss his hospital ball lobs to the pitchers covering first base. His defense, minus scooping, has been a huge issue all year. It literally cost us a game this series!
If memory serves it’s Pete who got Senga hurt when he was rolling.I’ll miss his hospital ball lobs to the pitchers covering first base.
Come here just to rub salt in the wounds.New York Mets errrrr CHOKE ARTISTS doing their usual thing. Not even the 765 Million Dollar Man could save them. Once again New York remains a YANKEES TOWN….![]()
What makes you think a lot of us don’t understand the ups and downs of any player over the course of the season ?Just because a lot of you don’t understand the ups and downs any player has over the course of a season, and the nature of sports in general, not my problem.
Cry over what you feel should have been all you want but the nature of sports, the greatness of sports is you never know, any given day, etc., etc.
The Mets TEAM wasn’t good enough, from an overrated (at least this year, with a bloated payroll and poor player evaluation) GM, through the manager and players. The standings prove that.
Finally, I do get a real kick out if a group of fans that can praise Brett Baty to the heavens and then knock Pete Alonso but then many of you proved the nature of fans by turning on Luis last year,
Diaz is in the same opt-out position as Alonso, but he did not respond when asked. What makes you think a lot of us don’t understand the ups and downs of any player over the course of the season ?
And no offense but who cares about changing your mind ? None of us agree with you
Last year you were literally complaining the entire regular season and look where our team went.
For the record to be clear in regards to Pete my complaint specifically is yesterday. He had an excellent statistical year
Leaders lead and lead by example. Yesterday post game I don’t want to hear anything about it was his right to opt out
It absolutely is his right and I don’t blame him at all for opting out
But yesterday he put himself over the team announcing opting out when our season literally just ended on the worst way possible
Leaders don’t do that. Whether they are going to be on the team or not they set an example for others by not putting themselves over the team
If he announced it next week I’d have no problem either way it
You can just admit you only watch when the Mets are at-bat.The lot of you can disagree with me all you want, but you don’t get to make up my mind for me. Alonso had a GREAT year, did all you could ask from a player. Had a lot of big hits, great defensive plays. Yes he made errors, he is not Keith Hernandez.
As a member of the TEAM he is part of the group that wasn’t good enough but as an individual player, I put no blame on him, same with Soto.
