Don’t agree at all. UNC is one of the few very clear “prizes” left in realignment. Mega brand, new territory, and blue blood in basketball. The only bigger one is Notre Dame. Florida State is probably right behind them. Then Clemson. After that, eye of the beholder (UVA, Stanford, NC State, etc.)
I think Notre Dame is in their own tier, and then its UNC/FSU/Clemson. UNC being the school in North Carolina for either conference is really valuable, plus their basketball brand is so elevated, it becomes part of the conversation as well.UNC is very well positioned for the post-ACC era. It makes sense for both the Big Ten and SEC. I do think Clemson and Florida State are the prizes, though. Football rules and North Carolina will never be in that category consistently.

Lombardi has done a good job with the '26 FB recruiting class with late start. Ranked 18th overall with (7) 4-stars & (18) 3-star that fit their model. Expectations are not high this '25 year, but depending how this first season goes, they'll probably do well in '26 transfer portal too. They signed a 4-star RB for '27 this week too. I bought tickets to 4 games this year (Richmond, Clemson, Virginia & Stanford)![]()

Packaging themselves for a football conference. I can only imagine that as a pillar of the confetence, if they go early, the house collapses. But there are many of you here who know far better than I do.![]()
