No one remember Terry Pendleton? 1987.
Guy who wasn’t a big power hitter hits two out two runner homer. It only tied the game but you knew. Lost in extras. Guy who was with me at the game picked up, in silence, left Shea Stadium. I didn’t hear from him for a week.

Just think of the parallels between St. John’s and the Mets. In 1985 St. John’s felt like we would contend forever. In 1986 the Mets were dominant. No reason we couldn’t do it again. Since then? Zilch, Nada, Nothing. Ok, Mets were close a few times but never ended well. Don’t get me started on the Johnnie’s.

This west coast trip is big. Do some damage out there. SF playing well and doesn’t matter what San Diego’s record they never play well there historically.

Back in first just as I hit the East Coast for a visit. We were driving by the stadium yesterday just as alonso hit his HR. I kept saying look there is citi field and he said yeah, yeah I heard you the first time unfortunately no time for a game this trip, but I still might have time to TP and egg MJ’s house since my mom lives 2 blocks away.
