Good for Jake. The problem with deGrom was staying on the field. Hopefully he’s fully healthy now.

Hey good late-May start from megill last night at a time when we desperately needed it. (Just trying to talk positives here to avoid thinking about the sickening knicks loss... ope there I go thinking about it again)
Funny game baseball. Mets win the game Crochet started. Guy has been under 2 ERA excellent and that’s the game they win. Looking ahead to the Dodgers and we look ok with the pitching matchups heading into the Series.
Of course their offense can be great so we better find a way to get the offense going. 2 or 3 runs ain’t gonna cut it.

Sproat got crushed again yesterday. I don’t see a path for him getting called up before September and even that looks in question.
McLean pitched a very good game tonight. His ball has some insane movement. I think he makes the playoff roster as a reliever. I think he can break the AAA curse for us, but probably has a few bumps in the road to overcome.
Still don’t like Gilbert. I don’t know how he has the same 55 speed ranking as Ewing when Ewing is clearly twice the athlete. Ewing has legit college football speed. He’s even faster than Jett.

I don’t see it anywhere either. It would be odd timing with Baty hit and Acuna playing well. Don’t think it is a decision that needs to be made right away.
He’s had 43 minor league ABs after missing an entire season. He won’t be rushed.
I don’t even think he’s eligible for promotion without an injury because of a rule due to his options.
It’s great seeing his bat come around because he plays a really smooth third base
It’s especially impressive and underrated since he came up as a primarily offensive prospect.

I then said to myself no way. More likely they rally to fall just short. I thought nah that would make it more painful. I’ll accept the 5-2 defeat.
So I wake up and check the score. Yup. 7-5 (F) 13. The life of a NY sports fan. We couldn’t just lose. We needed to give the false hope and make it that we blew several chances to win. Can’t make it up.
