Rick Pitino - Head Coach at St John’s University!!!

Imo, Pitino led the charge adapting to implementation of three point shot back in the day. He astutely did so on both ends of the court. Many years later, this 70+ year old clearly has adapted to and embraced the transfer/NIL era as well as anyone in the country. Remarkable!

Absolutely but he also came to the right school (Repole) at the right time (Stanley).

The stars have aligned for us for the first time.

True but he also saw the future and hired Matt his first summer when Matt was an agent because Rick saw what this NIL world was going to become and while maybe not the first he definitely hired the best GM for this environment

No matter how much money you need contacts and networks etc

Like Paultz said he sees both ends of the court but he also sees outside the court

If what people say about Hall is true.... it's such grave mis-management at the Top there.... no GM? how does a serious Program operate in this environment without one?

For me, there's a holy trinity of Shanley the Father, Rick the Son, and Repole the Holy Spirit that has made the impossible possible.

Take one away and St. John's is not successful. (But unlike the Holy Spirit, I actually know what Repole does.)

As for Matt A, he's an apostle. Perhaps Peter, definitely not Thomas.

Where does Mary Magdalene fit in all of this? 😇
