TBH the pull-up 3 is my least favorite shot in basketball. There is a small number of guys that can take it and make it consistently. And an army of chuckers who should never, ever take that shot - and do anyway.

There is also little question that Pitino is the original source of the scourge that is called "the three point shot." And completely agree that he has done a remarkable job of adapting and staying current.

In the old days Pitino would have been the FINAL move for St. John's. In the new era he was actually the first piece of the puzzle. So refreshing and exciting.

How about the step-back three? Those misses crush momentum.

I don’t mind pulling up for threes in transition. It’s a relatively high % shot and good chance for a rebound on a miss.
