Around the Big East 25-26

So having looked at the Nova article - is it theoretically possible that they could wind up with some players out of Haggerty, Watkins, RJ, Fland, Acaden Lewis? Are all of those guys still uncommitted and/or potential CBB returnees?

Yeah. They got plenty of money left. Just signed Askew. But Watkins' hometown is pretty close and a very clear void to fill in. They're a finalist for Acaden but UGA sounds like they're in the drivers seat.

Nice Comments from Zuby about RJ at the Haggerty Awards dinner last night .

NY Post article did a nice job in reporting on Zuby ‘s comments .,

Zuby is a great teammate and why he was the Captain . Probably will be next year as well , with Ayo .

As for RJ , I just don’t get the why that the NBA Scouts don’t give him more credit

He’s way better than a Karraban for example , who still gets 2 nd team draft nods , despite stinking for the whole year

And , was their any better player in the BE last year than RJ.
He’s a good shooter , very good defender and unrelenting rebounder under the basket . He’s quick and probably quicker than a lot of guys in the NBA now .

Sure , he can improve on 3 point shooting but , who can’t improve ?

He’s a streaky guy , capable of going from 2 points to 29 points in a 20 minute half . Like he did against Creighton .

Age? There were a lot of guys older than RJ last year who were picked in the 1st round .

I guess I’m just mystified about the lack of respect he gets from these Scouts .
Don’t think it is even close between him and Karaban

As I said in another thread, one recent mock draft had the Knicks using their late second round pick to take Eric Dixon from Nova (he's older than RJ) - maybe the Knicks take RJ if he' still there which would be great.
That is a waste of a draft pick..very limited potential (talking about Dixon)

If you mean Dixon, Knicks have like pick #55 so that's about as late in the draft as you can go. I just don't see Dixon being quick enough to play in the NBA and RJ might be.
My comment was not an RJ or Dixon choice. I was just saying if he was there I might take a chance not him versus RJ.

I don't think he has officially announced that he is. Did you hear something?

Alex Karaban, a redshirt junior forward for the UConn men's basketball team, is still undecided on whether to declare for the 2025 NBA Draft or return for another season at UConn. He has until April 26th to declare for the draft as an early entrant
