Available Lead Guards

Very rarely am I completely caught off guard...if true and they enter the season with Ian as the lead guard...this is VERY surprising.
Sounds like part of the negotiation and maybe the snag last week. I am equally surprised 79. Hopefully “Rick Speak” at work and a competent PG is in the works. I kind of felt this was coming, chatting w Mase earlier today.

Thrilled Ian is here and Rick is paid big bucks to figure this out. Onward.

I think he can do it but he needs a backcourt mate that can pass. Sanon and Sellers don’t seem to be that player. If we find the right guy you can bring Sellers off the bench.

Maybe this opens the door for Wilcher not to leave? I know unlikely given it seems once in the portal, Pitino moves on but maybe this is an exception?
Sim has said on more than one occasion he sees himself as a 1 rather than a 2.

Last year SJU went heavy on PGs, and the worry was how two-point guards, Smith and Kadary, could play together. It turned out well. This year the goal is zero. Pitino is probably just bored at this point in his career and wants to try new things.

Keeps things interesting!
