It’s not over

I actually agree with you. I don’t think we should expect the same results. I also think next year will be less enjoyable because expectations will be higher.

But I do think we will have more talent
Hope that improved talent meshes as well as these guys, but we’ll see.

We'll be fine. I'm not gonna moan and groan about the portal this offseason like I did last year now that I better understand how it works. We'll get players. Doesn't take the sting away from today.

This season showed what was possible. If RJ and Zuby are back we are Preseason Big East Favorites. I am disappointed a great season just ended it’s like breaking up with girlfriend. Anyway, I feel the program hasn’t been in this spot going forward in 40 years.

We’ll see, but to assume we have better results seems a big reach. Of course we can improve and attract very good players, but it is hard to imagine the better overall achievements I noted. Maybe going further in the dance fits your narrative. I give you that possibility if adding right pieces.
Plus long shot of having the chemistry of this team with new players. We shall see

So disappointed. I thought we could get to the Sweet 16 with this group. But today showed our many warts. With 31 wins, still. But this team helped wash away years of frustration for us long-time fans, especially me

I don't want to spend tonight talking about those warts. The kids don't deserve that at this time. There are days ahead for that to occur. And to project what next season and following ones might look like.

We're all hurting.

I’ll settle for “as good. To expect them to lose key guys like Scott, KR & Smith and assume we can win BE regular season, BE T, be ranked #5 and a two seed seems quite a reach. Especially w no idea of roster composition. Admire your optimism though.
I’m just looking for another successful season. Top 3 big east, semi in BET, make second weekend in MM. I think this should be our goal for next year

Wilcher won't be here, and I'm ok with that, all season he showed a loose handle, average shooting, and a propensity to foul if he gets beat defensively, which is all the time.
Maybe it’s me but I saw improvement over last year and I’m betting there’s improvement going into next year. He’s going to get minutes. He has value. Why would he transfer? I’ve heard nothing about that unless you’re privy to a source

Big question is on RJ’s future here.

Great kid but from what I remember from last year is he has a very sensitive camp.

His benching today is bound to be an issue.
I was thinking that myself. It could be the impetus for him to transfer, although I hope he is smart enough to know that Pitino is the only coach that can get him to the NBA
