(NCAA-WEST/Providence) #10 Arkansas, Sat., Mar. 22, 2:40p, CBS

Thanks to coach and this team for a great year. I'm still grateful for all the excitement and great basketball games that I got to see.

I know that Coach is already working on next year's team.

Hopefully the next team will take us further.

Thanks again CRP and all the guys on this team!

Arkansas' length and ability to win off the dribble were the keys today. Too handsy on defense by the guards, and no one could buy a layup today. A very disappointing end to a fantastic season. Luis was never in the game today - makes you wonder what was going on there. I have never seen Richmond have the issues finishing like he did today. And, as much as it pains me to say it, Calipari outcoached Pitino today. Not the ending we wanted, but it's the ending we got. Here's hoping that the core is kept together, and they can find contributors at the point and some consistent outside shooting in the portal.
Their fans were right. We haven’t dealt with their athleticism or length. Their guards smoked us off the dribble all game.

What a shame we came up short today after a wonderful season. Give credit where it’s due, coach Calipari and Arkansas. They exposed our weaknesses and played a heck of a game. I didn’t get to watch the entire game as I was coaching my daughter’s lacrosse team, but from what I saw we just never got into an offensive rhythm. I don’t blame the refs, if we made the shots, they wouldn’t be a factor. I thank the kids for giving it their all every game and for making New York believe again. Better days are ahead, I’m proud of this group, they achieved so very much. Hang in there ladies and gentlemen, our time will come. Best wishes everyone.

Five years ago we would have died for a season like this. The perspective changes. Like today is a downer but it won’t last. I want Pitino driven to get us more. It sucks because in my mind we missed a golden opportunity. I know it doesn’t help how we feel today but better days are ahead.
