(NCAA-WEST/Providence) #15 Omaha, Thu., Mar. 20, 9:45p, CBS

Anyone see Omaha play? It would be great if one of our posters can offer an assessment of Omaha. Both X and Creighton beat better teams that we are playing tonight, and we beat both 4 out of 5. So hoping that holds up.

- They have not beat anyone of note

- Lost by 30 to Iowa state

- Best player Sutton is 6’8 220 and Summit a league POY. Averages 19 & 8. A little bigger than Scott.

- Two 6’2 guards White and Osburn both shoot 40% from 3 and have each scored 30 this year. The three of them have been starting together for three seasons.

- They are top 25 in the country in keeping opponents off the offensive glass.

- Have to limit their open looks from 3, and let our pressure wear them down.

They are 0 for 7 in quad 1 and 2 games. As you wrote, they rebound well, but I doubt their conference has the level of athleticism of the Big East.

I think a key to the tourney are quick starts for the team. Starting with a fast pace requires that Smith be in the starting line up. Can afford to have lack luster starts as we did the last two games. Hoping that Smith is back to full strength.
