(NCAA-WEST/Providence) #15 Omaha, Thu., Mar. 20, 9:45p, CBS

Time to end our ridiculously long NCAA tourney win drought tonight! Can’t wait for the game.
10 years to the DATE of out last "Field of 64" Game.... 25 years from our last Tourney Win.... we will continue to exorcise more demons tonight!

So jealous of everyone in Prov this weekend! BE LOUD- let our boys know its Home games this weekend!

The US famously beat the USSR out of nowhere in the 1980 Miracle on Ice. Lots of people forget that they didn't win the Gold that night, they still had to beat Finland a couple of days later to be crowned as the champs.

Before the Finland game, coach Herb Brooks famously went into the locker room and instead of giving a pre-game speech he simply looked around the room and said, "If you lose tonight, you'll take it to your f$&#% graves." Brooks then took three steps to the door, looked back at the team, and said, "your f$&#% graves."

The stakes are obviously different here, and we could lose to Kansas/Arkansas...

But with the year we've had, the team we have, tonight is a "your f$&#% graves" game as a fan.

Win.

So to is Mike Vaccaro's article today (when is it not)

"Most of all, it’s for you. You, who kept believing when belief was in short supply. You, who refused to use the past tense, who insisted a season like this was in the cards at some point. As a fan, you wade through an awful lot of garbage to find a team that actually makes you happy. Enjoy the ride, as long as it lasts. Every game. Every minute. Every second."

almost made me cry at my desk

Afternoon session update:

High Point fan base is awesome.

Matt Painter thinks it's still 1982, or plays classic Big 10 basketball, take your pick. Not sure how far that can go these days, feels like a high floor low ceiling approach to me.

And for those who care about these things, the McNeese cheer squad is 🔥

Just met a bunch of Kansas fans in my hotel. They couldn’t be happier for Zuby and they were all excited for St John’s and our season this year. Most of them knew all our players

They remind me of Kentucky fans with their hoops knowledge

I think Kansas has pretty much been a Classy Program . Befitting one of the Blue Bloods for a long ,long time .

How could any fan base not like Zuby . He has a great personality and charisma.
