Coaching Carousel

If it comes down to money, no way Xavier can compare to Texas. Hope they go bigger.

Tough thing is, I don’t think Xavier could have a better coaching situation than it does with Sean Miller. Whereas Texas could find 4-5 Millers. Go where you’re loved Sean, might not be a 3rd reunion waiting!

I believe he will follow your advice.

Taliek Brown should make a play here.

Was told last night and I was stunned. Every indication was he was going to get another year.

But I know Fordham is serious about having the financial structure in place to compete in A10. They have the donors and Wall Street people ready.

Both should stay where they are unless they want to be unemployed in 3 to 4 years.
Get that certainly, but current AD has noted the school’s intent to really up the ante on revenue sharing, NIL support and investing in higher salaries for staff. You may be right, but here’s hoping my second alma mater gets with it.

Fordham should compete at a level where they can have success whether it's back in the Patriot, MAAC, etc.

30 years as an A10 bottom dweller is no fun for anyone.

No. Same reason DePaul doesn't leave BE. You work on getting it right, not quitting. They won 25 games 2 years ago. They have the resources they need to get the right coach and apply the resources.

Agree 100% - MAAC would be a much better fit for Fordham. For Hofstra as well, given all the recent changes to the CAA. It's mostly a southern league now.

Same message. Different year. How many corners has Fordham been ready to turn?

The move up has been a failed experiment. 30 years of data support that.

Generations of students know their basketball program only as one thing: a doormat

Give them a reason to go to games, to root for the team, to get excited. Bring Fordham back where it belongs.

So Willard is coming back to the BE and we are losing Miller to Texas? Sort of a wash if it goes that way. If I have to lose one I'd rather keep McDermott. Miller is always going to have a wandering eye
