The Fordham basketball search is being conducted by DHR Global: Glenn Sugiyama, Main Man, Dan Guerrero, and Craig Thompson.

Oh I’d nominate Fran McCaffrey in a heartbeat.

Why should the world be deprived of this man (and the missus) yelling and screaming as if his pants were on fire?!

A trivia question that depicts the futility of Fordham basketball.
Fordham recently celebrated the hundred anniversity of their basketball arena. What is the best team to call that court home in its history?
The 1960 61 SJU Redmen which consisted of Tony Jackson, Leroy Ellis , Willie Hall and Kevin Loughery among others When a construction delay of Alumni Hall arose SJU arranged to play Loyola of Chicago, Gonzaga and Creighton at Rose Hill . Digger Phelps had a couple of good teams in the seventies for Fordham but not the talent that Redmen team had.

So Willard is coming back to the BE and we are losing Miller to Texas? Sort of a wash if it goes that way. If I have to lose one I'd rather keep McDermott. Miller is always going to have a wandering eye

If Willard leaves Maryland for Nova that will be his 3rd job in 3 years. I think he has proven to have a wandering eye...

Huh? This is his third year at Maryland. 22/23, 23/24, 24/25. Before that he was at the Hall for a dozen years.

He was the coach at SHU in 2022. He is the coach at Maryland in 2025. IF he takes Villanova job in 2025 that would be 3 jobs in a span of 3 years...no?

I am not saying he has coached a total of 3 years. I am saying he will have coached 3 separate institutions in a span of 3 years.

This may also contribute to why he may leave. AD is leaving Maryland.

Fordham should compete at a level where they can have success whether it's back in the Patriot, MAAC, etc.

30 years as an A10 bottom dweller is no fun for anyone.
Fordham’s worst mistake was leaving the MAAC. They should have been trying to build up the program to get to the A-10 back then instead of going backwards to the brand new, then no scholarship Patriot League (mostly what are none as “little” Ivy League Schools) because of what they said was shared academic and athletic philosophies. They didn’t consider it a downgrade (they were wrong).

After initial success in the Patriot (3 regular season conference and one conference tournament championships the latter of which lead to their last NCAA Tournament appearance), they realized their fool hearted decision and were able to get into the A10 thanks to Rutgers becoming a full fledged member of the Big East.

They will not make a decision to downgrade again.
