BYU was/is my Bracket sleeper. Of course, I think they got crushed this weekend. I stayed up late a couple of times to watch them. They beat Iowa St. in one of them. They can shoot it. Dangerous team.
Yeah, I think they need to relax just a bit. A lot more important issues in the world than wasting time on this. You can be outraged on a message board but the solution is don’t be anywhere near the 68th most deserving team. Win more games so you don’t get screwed.
True, but if you are going to make take these issues on, then do it while the temperature is hot.
The NCAA committee and its selection process has been a hodgepodge of ad hoc rules that force square pegs in round holes when they deem necessary.
The NCAA should be smashed into pieces. And I am not concerned about what will follow because the NCAA already sold out to the SEC and BIG 10.
First, lets get past omaha. Then if kansas, come on guys, this isnt danny manning kansas. Have you watched them play more than the one or two good games they have played? And if its arkansas we will prove how inflated that sec conference is by handling them.
I dropped an F bomb when I saw the second round matchup. I hate underperforming blue bloods as 6-10 seeds. There is so much talent on those squads and they are battle tested in a way that we aren't. Arkansas was playing a tournament team every single game.
Even UNC can go on a run and make an Elite 8 on talent alone.
Kansas was disappointing, but now they start the season fresh and they have a 7'1 255 5th year center, big wings to compete with us and guards.
I'd much rather see Arkansas because their giant center floats on the perimeter more and isn't as strong as Dickinson. Kansas means 5+ minutes of Vince.

Kansas finished ahead of a Baylor team who beat us.
Arkansas finished ahead of a Georgia team that beat us.
It’s just a tough draw for all the things you mentioned. Kansas was the preseason number one team in the country! Arkansas was 16th and are getting their 2 leading scorers back for the tourney.
Baylor and Georgia beat us beginning of season, This isn't that same St Johns team

No. I think your take is crazy because we can beat anyone. I just hate the draw for a 7/10. We are still favorites, but it's a lot slimmer than I was hoping for. I wanted an overachieving team that didn't have the physical talent to play with us as the second game in 3 days.
Instead, we are going to be the team with less physical talent in either of those matchups. If we get past the second round, it's on. I love us as an underdog.
It was our third game in four days, they only had one game the day before. Huge difference.

Morally corrupt people will do almost anything to add to their bank account. And, the richer they are, the hungrier they usually are for every damn buck.
Very excited for this week and weekend, but man it is a really tough road in front of this team. Have to hope we take down Omaha with limited difficulty, but then to pick up against the winner of Kansas / Arkansas. I know Kansas really disappointed this year, but that doesn't change the fact that they are one of only three teams to beat Duke and have a really good big man that could potentially mess with the drive pull up game the same way we saw Kalk do this year. Otherwise, Arkansas is also a tough get in round two. Lots of bashing of the number of SEC teams that made the tourney, but even with an under .500 conference record, you can't argue with the fact that they still went toe to toe a few times with some of the best teams in the country, so I don't see them as a slouch if they take down Kansas.
Then to see Florida, Maryland, Texas Tech, Pukon, Memphis and (what seems to be everyone's favorite spoiler this year) Colorado State in the same bracket. Wow. Oh, and if they can slug their way into the final four it will likely be against the number one overall team in Auburn.
Should be a lot of fun, but the guys are surely going to need to step up big time to do some damage. I'm so excited to see what this team can do against teams outside of the Big East. Good luck to all the Big East teams as well; even that other one in our bracket...
