#20 Marquette, Sat., Mar. 8, 12 Noon, FOX

I'm surprised at the level of certainty so many of you predict what the Ncaa committee will do. "If we win we're this - if we lose we're that, - if we win then lose we're something else."

Just one year ago, our Mvp Daniss outplayed their Mvp Kadary leading us to our 6th straight win, a complete beat down resounding quarterfinal win. We were absolutely rolling before losing, closer than anybody else that followed, to the immovable object that was the 23/24 Ucant team. I thought for sure we had punched our ticket with Dayton being worse case. As it turned out, the back stabbing b*stards didn't even have us in next 4/next 8? out.

The only tournament seeding/placement outcome that will surprise me is if we don't get screwed.

So we moved up to #6 in the nation. I was thinking #5 but I'll take it. If we beat Marquette we may be #5 by next week.

RP mentioned the pressure of the past two games for take the title and it showed. I think this game adds more pressure. Can’t let the title go to their heads and must show up for this game. If they don’t then they lost their focus.

I would hope that since they won the last two should wins of the regular season the pressure should ease a bit. And I don't see them losing focus. The only variable is health of Scott, Luis and Kadary and how Pitino decides to address it in minutes.

Posted earlier in the year when we were unranked that we probably win 6 out of 10 games @ Marquette and still feel that way if fully healthy. Great matchup for us even though it’s a huge home court advantage for them. If they are making a ton of shots and pull away, call off the dogs.

The concern resting guys is if we lose this and then lose in the BET, we are a 4 seed with a presumably much tougher path.
Exactly why we aren’t losing

This isn’t the old St John’s we aren’t losing now and we aren’t losing in the BET

I always wear my SJU apparel here in the Sunshine State but this year I'm hearing "Go Johnnies!" and "Go St. John's" more than I have ever heard it down here before.

We're getting noticed around the country.

(Spacing in deference to Kranmars.)
Got my red St. John’s tee shirt and blue St. John’s pullover ready for the flight to Florida tomorrow. I'll be disappointed if no one acknowledges the team's success.

Dominic James - 81
Tyshawn Edmundson - 70

Senior day + long layoff + Marquette playing with desperation gets the best of us, despite some very clear mismatches. Other prediction, board freaks out rest of the day about how we haven't stopped dribble penetration for three straight games.

Hope I'm wrong!
I really hope we see the best defensive clinic of the year, and we shut it down.

SJU 68- Marq 56
