Big East 2025 Regular Season and Conference Tournament Champions - St. John's Red Storm

I’ve already told my partners at work they won’t see me for a month so I don’t plan on us losing for a while . For now I’m basking in this win which has never happened to me as a fan since 87

I’ll start worrying about the tournament Saturday the day before selection Sunday

This season wildly successful beyond my imagination
My son said the same thing to me last night.
He said I am 27 and all I have ever heard is SJU was great and now they are again. just go to every game they are in in the tournament, wherever they are playing. So what if you go away for 3-4 weeks, you have been waiting for this forever.

Mrs. LMF was informed about 2 weeks ago that I would not be around from Thurs-Sun in the second half of March.
She fully understands.
I married well!

It's been an absolutely great season thus far. Couldn't have asked for more. 35 year season ticket holder. My son, born in 1985, is named Christopher, for obvious reasons. My wife used to change him into his PJs on the crowded bleachers seats, JJ 13 & 14, when we still brought him to games as an infant.

We just sold our house in Nassau County (headed to a new condo Community in western Suffolk County), so we'll finally be off to our Florida home Tuesday.

I tell you all this because I hope I don't jinx this incredible season by now watching our beloved Redmen from Florida instead of NY. I know it's crazy, but I really have felt that watching them live this season or at home in the same St. John’s sweatshirt (washed in between games) in NY as opposed to some other state, is a big reason for their success this season.

Such is the life of a 55 year fan!
There’s a watch party next Saturday in Ft Lauderdale if you’re interested.

I see some conversation about it in this thread but to me winning a BE championship is much more meaningful to me versus what we do in a single elimination tournament. Yes, those outside the program will judge us based on ncaa tournament but I’ll take the big east title every time. This season was so enjoyable. I’ll take 20 games of fun versus a few in the ncaa. All that being said floor for ncaa is one game, expectation is Sweet 16.

I was at the game yesterday and have to say I was in a moment of disbelief thinking where we are now to where we were 24 months ago. Thank you Team Pitino for waking the sleeping giant.

It was a most glorious day right up there with December 26, 1983 when Sheiky baby had Bob Backlund in the camel clutch making him humble in the worlds most famous arena Madison Square!!!

I do believe the Baylor loss was just as important as any other win we’ve had this season. They don’t want to feel that pain again.

I honestly didn’t know if we’d ever get back to these kind of heights. It feels great and hopefully just the beginning. Kudos to Pitino for gelling this team in this age of NIL too.
Also the Villanove loss, it grounded us when our heads were getting big.

To go with the guys he didn’t want how about the 2 guys he brought. Danis carried us last year and the majority of this board
wanted Ayo gone. From what I see he is more than capable of playing in the Big East and he still has a year to go. I think we need
to keep trusting Rick, Kull and most importantly Father Shanley. Without Father Shanley we are probably playing in the 8/9
game next week
Several games ago,in respone to someone who posted ,"Why is Ayo on the court?", I replied that he knows the coaches' system and the coach trusts him to play within the system. Trust the coach" Well seems, as always, the coach knew what was right and what Ayo can bring to the team. TRUST THE COACH!

Ayo haters are kind of like Zuby haters from last year. Oh well
