This is a huge game for NCAA Tournament seeding and Rick knows it. We need to stay on the 3 line. If guys are healthy enough to play, they'll play. Gonna have to make sure the players understand how important this game is despite already clinching the regular season championship but I think Rick will be able to get that message across.

Agree, Rick knows the big picture and if kids are healthy enough to play, they will. I look at it as another opportunity to compete at a tough environment v a solid team, which will prepare them further for the Dance games away from home.

I can't think of Rick visiting Marquette and not remember the three epic daggers that put the Golden Eagles away in the final seconds in 2003, 2005 and 2007. Every two years one of Pitino's boys had a heartbreaker for them on their home floor. He's no stranger to getting it done up there.

wow you have big time memory !!! Nice finds !

I generally like games where a team has a full week to prepare while the other team has a game midweek. Marquette has a big game @ UConn Wednesday late then have to travel home and come back Saturday at noon. Good spot for us I think. Nothing has changed in terms of importance of this game for seeding purposes. To Ricks point guys might play a little more free and loose now that one monkey is off their back.

Early start in Marquette. Hopefully us being eastern time zone will help our guys get off to a quicker start than them in this one.

I had forgotten completely about Jerry Smith

This is a huge game. We have been playing down to our competition lately. Time for us to ramp back up our play going against a good team on the road.

I think this game will tell us alot about how we are going to perform in the postseason. I expect every player will be back to full strength and play in this game.

I watched the Postgame presser. I was hoping that someone would ask Coach RP as to what the schedule for the team looks like given the gap. Just me but the team looked a little tired and that’s understandable. I am sure it’s been draining mentally and physically for everyone involved.

Not even sure he would answer but just curious how he is going to handle the practices, days off, injuries etc. I totally trust the guy and that’s exactly why I’m curious. He can give a clinic on how to get a team ready for what lies ahead.

Problem is we've learned you can't believe everything Rick says in press conferences lol.
