#11 Marquette (MSG), Tue., Feb. 4, 6:30p, FS-1

I was about to write that in 60 years of watching, I have never seen a St. John's team play this hard. But the truth this St. John's team plays as hard as any college team I have ever seen. They don't let bad bounces and bad calls and poor shooting affect them. They just keep on fighting. Credit to Marquette who matched St. John's intensity most of the way. But our guys just keep on battling. Their effort and toughness is something to watch.
I agree, I have never seen a team like this. Amazing.

Nothing like a dirty, grimy, physical win when you can't make a free throw or consistently hit from the outside. This team's defense will always keep them in games, and in many cases, win them. How can anyone not love this crew? They are a joy to watch, even when the play is stilted and painful. This game against Pukonn is the one I really want to see them win. Shut those mofos up, and take a stranglehold on the conference. Let's go Redmen!!!!

Just g schedule starting last Sunday!ot home from the game. All the scribes and talking heads were saying we will find out how senday!good SJU is as they enter the tough part of their schedule. Well, maybe it was Marquette who entered the tough part of their schedule starting last

As far as I'm concerned, this is the one we had to win, defending the home court vs the #11 team nationally and #2 in the Big East. Winning away at UCONN gives us an AD, winning at home vs Creighton puts us at deuce with them, and winning at Marquette is game set match.

Holding the home court vs Marquette is critical. Now must do same vs UCONN and Creighton. Hearing and feeling the lion's roar of the crowd this season was something I wasn't quite sure we'd hear again.

First place Johnnies. Hah! First place Johnnies!!
