DePaul, Tue., Dec. 17, 6:30p, Peacock

This is the fourth straight year that we won our Big East opener. Three of them have been against DePaul at CA.

Last year, we beat Xavier at CA.

Didn’t watch tonight’s game had to take out my California team out and around the city. Was following on gamecast was impressed handled our business. Lets walk up to the Dunk and get it all on Friday!!

Here is my contribution to the game thread. I despise the plus/minus for basketball. It is deceiving, especially when you are up a lot and an opponent gets garbage time points.

This is the result of too many stats and people trying to out one up each other and rendering stats meaningless.

When do we get to see how fast a shooter releases the ball being measured by exit velocity?

Oh, and nice win.

I know that Pitino has always been a proponent of the three point shot but this roster seems better suited shooting two pointers. Just about every player is going to shoot a much higher percentage shooting twos and will struggle to make more than thirty one or thirty two per cent shooting threes.
I wouldn’t expect them to stop shooting threes but most would be better off avoiding those threes in the early stages of the shot clock.
It’s happening already.

I watched on tv, I don't know but I heard Mike Francesa was at the game.

If he was, I am sure he will say that is why they blew DePaul out.

My guess is that Richmond and Dunlap have the highest exit velo on their shots. Small sample size but Maker would be up there too.
