Zags reporting MA Will Be Brought Back. Please boycott the games and donations

Here is what needs to happen: do not attend any more games this year. All fans needs to email Shanley and Cragg. If you are a season ticket holder and/or booster, your email to Cragg and Shanley must say that you will not renew your tickets and will not donate to the school or program any further if MA is brought back. Probably should also halt any membership to Storm Marketing NIL which also serves to prop up the current coach.

St. John’s is not expected to part ways with head coach Mike Anderson after this season, a source close to the situation told ZAGSBLOG.

“It’s not going to happen,” the source said. “St. John’s will not be looking for another coach. Mike Anderson is owed $11.4 million over four years, and St. John’s doesn’t have that type of money.”

So the buyout is even more than I thought. No way SJU is going to cough that up.

I’ve thought all along they want to do everything they can to keep him and I’m sure their willing to spin any type of positive finish to the rest of the season as reason enough. Plus the injuries and the family strife by a few players during the season. We can all see it now I’m sure. We all know a 4-2 type finish at this point would be meaningless. But perhaps enough to save face sadly.

I know I’m not rooting for loses, so don’t know how to feel about the rest of the year.

If the school knew they were 100% locked in to retaining CMA after this season, Cragg's statement yesterday would have strongly hinted at that. ADs have been known to give coaches a "vote of confidence" just to fire them a couple weeks later anyway. Cragg's statement didn't even provide any type of vote of confidence for CMA beyond just supporting him and the players for the rest of this season.

Hey, be mad and disappointed with who you want but please don’t take it out on the players.

The players are 18 to 22 year old who I understand are by and large good kids. Kids like Soriano have worked their asses off and deserve the respect and support of the grey haired AARP crowd that post on Red.Fans
I hope for the StJ’s players finish the season on the up.

For all we know, this could be a quote placed by the school to gain leverage over CMA when attempting to by him out. If CMA knew the school was going to fire him, then he'd have all of the leverage in buyout negotiations. Just a thought.

Unless CMA doesn't want to coach here going forward then the school has no leverage to even begin negotiations. The buyout number is part of the contract and there's no wiggle room unless CMA decides he wants to budge on it

That’s exactly why I said I’m not rooting for losses

This team will be lucky to go 2-4 never mind 4-2.
