Stuff might have been good, but control and or command wasn’t, hence he got hit. Good stuff isn’t always enough.

Gritty win today. Nice to get 6 innings out of a starter.
Just enough hitting to get the job done. But they need to do better against a bunch of mediocre Jays starters.

Worked his way out of second and third nobody out jam holding Jays at bay. My take may have been a little premature which wouldn’t be the first time just ask my wife.
Fried Rice combo too much for Jays to overcome. Gutsy performance by Fried as Volpe and Wells providing xtra outs for Toronto. Judge noodle arm in RF is what it is, but he saved a run with a diving catch. Devin Williams proves the broken clock theory.

Wow they took the series from Toronto, I'm really freaking amazed. Just maybe they're waking the f up, and it's about time.

This Judge deal playing RF and not being able to throw is crazy. Then I think Sranton is a better option, but I don't trust him defensively.
Good job by Fried getting on a roll late in his outing. Fully expected Williams to sh*t the bed there. Pleasantly surprised.
Still, the way this team continues to play Little League-like baseball will be their undoing. They got away with it today. Volpe, Wells, Rice, Stanton are all scary on defense.
13 strikeouts today. Ugh. Toronto 2 for 12 with RISP certainly helped.
They get a day off, and I think they miss Skrubal in the next series.

If they win 4 of the next 6 I’ll be glad to eat my words and call them a contender. Otherwise they remain a pretender imho.
I thought they needed to sweep to have a shot at the division (they're really 3 games back, because Toronto has the tiebreaker).
That being said, if they were only going to win 2 games, Friday was the one to lose. I watched these two games with a much more relaxed attitude about things, since I consider the division pretty much dead, now.
