If Devin Williams keeps up this level of performance, there is not going to be an "alternate closers" job with Weaver (who was great tonight, too). Williams is the best 4.75 era pitcher in baseball, right now.
 
Team still hits like shit. Without Judge hitting, this lineup sucks. Still can't hit with RISP. 2 for 9 tonight. Can't even move runners up. Stanton in regular season form. 2 strikeouts and 2 popups.

Great job by the bullpen tonight. Warren just good enough to get by.

The Pretenders played like an 8 year old Little League team today. Disgraceful baseball across the board.

First, this team JUST CANNOT HIT. Horrible ABs all day long. 0 for 5 with RISP. A hallmark of this team. The A's have just about the worst pitching in all of baseball, and they've shut down the Pretenders 2 days now. Judge might be down to .300 by the All-Star break.

Every time I want to warm up to Schmidt he has a game like today where he walks 2 before a 3 run bomb.

The fielding continues to be a mess, and WTF was Judge doing being tagged out at 3rd to end the game?

Idiot Boone has excuse after excuse. He talks about all the guys doing well. What team and game is he watching?
 
Spared watching this game by going to see the play Jesus Christ super star. I guess two miracles in one day was too.much to expect. Where are the sticks?

Looking forward to the subway series where the two NY teams are guaranteed to go a combined .500 after the abomination of the last two weeks plus.
 
Hope they didn't use up their run total for the next week with today's effort. Chisholm is hot, hopefully Judge is snapping out of it with his two tater performance. Stroman did his job. Brubaker should have been DFA'd on the mound today. Going to need length out of the starters with no days off this week, as the bullpen is a little gassed right now.
 
Get rid of Brubaker. Had a chance to save the bullpen, and threw up all over the field.

Good to win a series. But the schedule really toughens up these next few weeks.

Don't trust Stroman a bit. Muts will get healthy against him Friday night.
