What a roller-coaster ride it is going to be with Williams in the closer role. Of course, it would help if DJLM could knock down or field a ball going towards the hole.

Feels like Judge and Goldschmidt are finally cooling down.

I thought Escarra cost the Yanks a run not running hard to third when the ball hit off the second baseman's glove.

Chisholm's speed is so welcome on this team. Big homers by him and Volpe.
 
Rodon has been simply fantastic this season. Think about how bad it was his first year with having the back issue, then pitching poorly and responding to the boos of the crowd by tipping his cap. He has completely turned it around in both performance and connection with the fan base - this is to his credit, because most players who lose the fan base in NY do not turn it around in this fashion. Great return for Jazz, and Volpe with a big blast. Grisham once again lackadaisical in the outfield, but got bailed out by a bad baserunning decision by the Guardians. Devin Williams had that deer in the headlights look last night, and has the body language of someone who expects to fail. Only benefit to his outing last night is that he threw so many pitches that he's unavailable tonight.
 
Why do I dislike Todd Frazier so much? Did he have a mere cup of coffee with the Yanks? Adds nothing to the pre and post games.

Flat effort tonight. Bats are starting to die on the vine.

Well pitched win by the guys tonight, and 4 of 9 with RISP is usually enough. Although the bases loaded zero was concerning early. Big add on runs late.

Won the series in a game Fried used a lot of pitches early, but still got through 6 innings. Nice job by Hill and the rest of the bullpen.

Bellinger continues to rake.

Lets go drub the Red Sux.
