Yakwe Transferring

Local mid-majors should be all over Kassoum Yakwe. Would be great in NEC or MAAC. #sjubb

That said, wish him the best. Class act. Didn't bitch and moan when he was treated like a persona non grata.

Pretty expected. Hopefully works out for both parties.

Generally teams have 2-3 transfers a year I think, so hopefully this is it.

Keep the top 3, bring in another player or two, and next year should be a good one.

Really? Where did you calculate those numbers?

I believe there has been around 800 transfers each of the last few years. 351 college basketball teams means about 2.3 per team on average.

This site is good for tracking them by year:

http://www.verbalcommits.com/transfers/2017

2017 alone had 885 transfers. 2018 has around 380 so far and increasing fast.

Based on?

I'm disappointed that we could not develop this young man who did show something in his tour with us. Good luck to him.

What's the number of transfers now under CM? I hope we can improve going forward.

There's 700-800+ transfers per year and 351 D1 programs, so average would be right in that range.

I thought that amount happened a season ago. That wasn't actually the norm, if I'm not mistaken.

I can't count 2-3 per year transferring from any conference teams. It may have happened in a given year, but it isn't the norm.

Best of luck to Kassoum. An easy kid to root for. He'll do well in a mid major conference - maybe a destination like Fordham?

I hope Trimble stays - no reason to think he can't get court time next year and plenty of court time his junior and senior years.

so what are we gonna play next year with 4 players. Should be interesting. I hope nobody gets injured or fouls out. be tough to win 3 on 5

Lack of any burn at the end of year baffled me. I like Yakwe and wish him the best.

Well then I guess it's a good thing that we have 7 on the roster right now, plus a couple incoming freshman and hopefully a grad transfer big. If 1 of those 3 workout we will have a nice 8 man rotation.

Kansas City BBQ v. Brooklyn BBQ. If he stays here, Trimble should be able to lose weight.

750+ has been the norm for 3-4 years now, unfortunately. Check the link I posted on the previous page of this thread.
