Y2K/Insiders debate

As a non-insider who enjoys talking about insiders & "scoops" my advice to Y2 would be:
1) Never use the word "lock" unless the thing is literally happening within the day
2) Never put specific dates and times out there, even if someone tells you a specific date/time

No reason to publicly box yourself in on things that can completely change & are out of the school's control.
3) Never get less than 12 hours sleep
4) Never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city
5) Never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body

He obviously has sources as he's been one to break news before but I think he needs to learn that recruiting is fluid and nothing is a lock

Come on guys. Y2 is not a journalist and has absolutely no obligation to report his insider tips with any journalistic integrity or reporting standards. He doesn’t work for The NY Times. He is not getting paid for his tweets. He can call something a lock whenever he wants to. If you find yourself disappointed when his tweets don’t materialize then don’t put much stock in them. I’m happy there’s a mysterious St John’s insider and fan out there who seems to be having fun and is sharing his intel to all who are interested.

Sincerely,
y3

I think he's a huge net positive for the fan experience.

Is this your first day on the site? He’s not 100 percent accurate, therefore we shall burn him at the stake and call him a heretic.

He didn’t say the Tuesday announcement was a lock. If you think he has 0 credibility, simply ignore him.
No I think I’ll comment since there’s a whole topic dedicated to commenting on his credibility, but thanks for the suggestion.

My comment that he has zero credibility was hyperbole. I’m sure he has sources, but he compromises his credibility by speaking in absolutes and not conceding when he’s wrong.

Hyperbole is the mortal enemy of credibility.

so again, if he heard the plans changed, he should have just not said anything and left the original prediction?

And I didn’t tell you not to comment. But passive aggressive thank you received 🤣
