Yes we played like crap most of the game. I thought we could beat Xavier on the road. But bottom line is. We lost on road as a dog. Not gonna hurt us unless we don’t win the remaining games we are supposed to win. For sure need to beat DePaul annd Georgetown like the other teams are. But we need to hold serve at home to all we will be favored against.

That's who he is and unfortunately guys like that never meet their full potential.He's the poorest defender on the team.
Do you think this team can go 7-3 in their last 10 games? That’s what they’ll have to do in order to be guaranteed a bid and not have to worry about the Big East Tournament etc. anything less and it’s must win BET games and the bubble.
And both of those teams are better than Xavier.
I just don't see it. Far too much inconsistency with this team.
I do think they can yes. I am as frustrated as the next guy about losing this game. Heck I lost $600 on the game. But I’m not giving up because we lost on the road at a tough venue. Let’s hold serve at home against these solid teams. Must beat DePaul and Georgetown all 4 games. And we will be fine. I get the knee jerk reaction after losses. But this loss will not hurt us if we hold serve at home and against the DePaul and Georgetown’s.
If we can steal one from UConn Saturday as we will be dogs. Then all will be fine in social media st johns land.

Pitino clearly has no confidence in anybody outside of Jenkins, Joel and maybe Ledlum, and rightfully so.
He chose to roll with Dunlap at the end because Luis and Taylor were negatives most of the game.
The 5th year player with a national championship ring that isn't good enough to play clutch minutes is really hurting this team. He was supposed to be the steady guy we could count on to make big shots and he hasn't been that guy.
Somebody is going to have step up and be consistent enough to force their way into the lineup in the big moments over the next month and a half. Can't lose games when Jenkins and Soriano play like they did tonight.
There are going to be a few more close games that this team is going to have to figure out how to win. Toughness both physically and mentally needs to be improved somehow

Rick gets too cute with substitutions. This is not T ball, everyone doesn’t have to play. 2-3 minutes stretches in first half count too. He takes away minutes from his best players to give Conway a couple mins. Makes no sense. That was a brutal stretch by Conway btw and it counts.
A potential problem is the "home" game with SH. It is being played in the mausoleum and not in MSG. Where is the home court advantage in that?
On the plus side seton hall fans can’t afford the tolls to get to the game

Actually, in reality, X has three very good back court players who can score. We don't.
If Jenkins had a bad offensive game tonight we lose by 20+.
