I am beginning to understand why Pitino made the comment, knowing Dingle he will be back in March.

We most definitely are not a far better team. Our O and D are 41 and 42 in KenPom. X is 54 and 47 and they have had the second hardest schedule in the country based on adjusted O and D on KenPom. We are slightly better, and on the road

I all honesty unless the team roars to the finish to get up to a 6 seed I'd rather be a 10. Play a just below top 25 team in round one and then a borderline top 10 team in round 2. Best path to the 2nd weekend.

The way we are playing now, (and that includes the close losses to those good teams) anytime St. Johns is a dog they are the smart bet for the money line. And that will include uconn game. How much you put on it is your decision. Of course doesn't mean they win as dogs but in this case the value is there against this Xavier team. I did not like them at Seton Hall laying points and they shouldn't have been especially without Pitino and Dingle. That line was flat out wrong.

But I think this game will be a very good game for us leading to what could be an epic battle against UCONN.

When Eric demands the luxury box for the UConn game you know it’s a big F’ing game :) I wonder if all the players that are going to 25th anniversary event Friday night are going to the game Saturday. That would be very cool and hopefully they get proper tribute at MSG with some highlights on the video

I was at a BE tournament game between Pukon and Nova back in the 90's sometime and those disgusting Pukon fans wouldn't sit down until their team scored. I told them to sit the F down and they said that it was their tradition on their home court. I told them that this wasn't their home court and that they were were being extremely rude to other fans who wanted to see the game. They finally sat but we went back and forth the whole game. They thought that I was a Nova fan but I was wearing Redmen gear. I was there with my Nova friend. They're the dumbest fans in the country.

Long time SJU fans on this site know about my other escapades going to Storrs and the Hartford Civic Center and having incidents with them. I hate Pukon and their fans. They are the most obnoxious fans in the country. Now they have the most obnoxious coach in the country.

Ahh, stories from the Yukon.

One year I was at MSG for the SJU/Yukon game. There was a group of infidels in a few Sections behind me. During the game I noticed that they were throwing hunks of the notorious brick like Garden pretzels at the SJU fans below. It is dangerous. Lo and behold just as I turn around I spot this dude in mid hurl at…me. I proceeded to catch the chunk (yes they also can’t shoot) and climbed over the section to confront the guy (moron) who took one look at me with spit coming out of both sides of my mouth. He almost pissed his pants as he stuttered that he “wasn’t aiming at me” as if that mattered. Not a friend stood up for him. I Informed him that if I saw him throwing it again I would shove the goddamn pretzel down his f—- throat if I saw it happen again. I then went down an informed security but of course they just promised they would look out for it. 🥴 As much as I would like to pin this exclusively on them it’s just as bad or worse at other events. I don’t understand it but drunk morons are everywhere.

I got into it at the same game with some Pukon fans who sucker punched my Nova friend and I grabbed the guy who did it and then his friends started to go after me and security stepped on. They were going to throw us all out but we promised not to even look at each other for the rest of the game and they let us stay. I wanted to punch that guy sooooo bad!!! :mad:
 
The first meeting was the Big East opener for both teams and that's the game Pitino broke out the matchup zone for the first time which Sean Miller and Xavier were not prepared for at all, and Miller even admitted that in the postgame presser. Not going to be able to surprise them with that tonight

Demands lol. It was a late request and was looking to get close to section 114 while I waited but it did come through. I will be stopping by at halftime.

Half time will be a star studded event in 114 for pics. Between our normal 114 crew the Mattia brothers flying up from NC and having actual seats in 114 and now Jack Williams and his parents sitting in 114 and you and Room112 coming by and possibly SigEp09 and possibly Monte we might need to have Wendell take a pic from the court of the 114 halftime pic being taken :)
