@Xavier, Wed., Jan. 31, 6:30p, FS-1

I think Xavier can potentially be a trap game, but I also think not playing for a week is less beneficial than people think. It's nice to heal injuries but you've usually got rust and you're out of your rhythm. I've rarely seen a team be actually refreshed and energized after such a long lay off.

I think this beat down that Xavier is taking at UCONN could go either way. They could be fired up for the game against us and it could be a very difficult game or if we can get an early lead the crowd could get very frustrated and we can deliver the knockout punch. Should be very interesting.

Hopefully our guys can play with the intensity they played with last game and not allow X to recover from the drubbing they took today. Miller’s a good coach so i expect they wont be dreadful.

I would love to debate this topic again with you 😁

To make sure I keep my post on topic, I will add that it is not possible to take the subway or LIRR to the Xavier game.
I think you could take. train to the plane though . To see the X game in Cinn.

Ever since the word "trap game" has entered the lexicon of the average sports fan it has been waaay over used...but boy is this a trap game if there ever was one. Its gotta be so hard not to look forward to playing the #1 team in the country 3 days later in a packed MSG.

Hope CRP will keep their eyes on the prize; as others have stated X has been a house of horrors for us over the years.
The Johnnie’s are not nearly good enough to have a ”trap” game. Sorry, that term is reserved for good teams that are clear cut favorites in a game preceding a “big” game, that is not even remotely the case against Xavier, IMO.
Edit -
I did not see Mullins Revenge post before posting the above, obviously I agree with him.

Was saying that in jest, but surprised so many people on this board don't think we are a stronger team than Xavier & that overlooking them for UCONN wouldn't count towards that. I think we'll be a favorite to win it.
