Phoebe Cates spoke in that movie?
Xavier recap:http://www.bigeastboards.com/
Much like the Xavier game was to St. John's, the recap was a blown opportunity to feature a pic of Phoebe Cates exiting the swimming pool in Fast Times at Ridgemont High. For it was that movie that gave Robert Romanus his 15 minutes of fame as scalper and girlfriend stealer Mike Damone, who had evolved from taking Mindy Cohn's virginity to taking Jennifer Jason Leigh's. For some strange reason, I have this notion that you once featured Phoebe Cates in her wet red bikini. If not, here was a chance. If so, it's worth seeing twice.
Yeah, I used that picture already, Indiana last year in the Maui. Kevin Kline went to Indiana. Ironically an almost identical game flow

I was going to go with Raquel Welch from the Three Musketeers but I figured I'd never get another opportunity to work in the Facts of Life.
A special request for Gina Gershon, please. Thank you for your consideration.
Other than Raging Bull losing to Ordinary People that GG did not win an Academy Award for Showgirls was the greatest injustice in the history of filmdom

The significance of Showgirls was that Elizabeth Berkley of Saved By The Bell fame became the 2nd prime time TV teen of the 1980's (following Lisa Bonet from the Cosby show) to take on a slutty role in their first major film credit. In searching for a TV basketball connection, the best I could do is referencing Ken Howard and the White Shadow, which ended in 1980 or 81. Howard played high school basketball in Long Island, but on the show claimed to play for Bayside High. I can't recall a single Bayside High basketball player of significance, although their football team sent a few players to the NFL.
You are correct Bayside High School was not particularly strong in basketball, but generally had really good football teams. One of the players they sent to the NFL was Chy Davidson who led Bayside to the PSAL title in 1976 while scoring a record setting 28 Touchdowns. Chy had a brief stint in the NFL with the Jets in 1984 and 1985. While there he ran back some kicks, but early on in the 1985 season he was released after Al Toon ended his rookie holdout after the first game of the season.
I mention this only because Chy grew up in my neighborhood in Queens Village, played on my little league team and was a great kid back in the day. If memory serves correctly he came back later to the Public Schools (Bayside High I believe) as a football coach and educator.
don't know where he went to school but Ivan lived in Glen Cove later on. He had a son a year or too older than me that passed away when I was in either High School or college. I think his dad scored the first points ever in Alumni Hall or something like thatI think Ken McIntyre and Ivan Kovacs went to Bayside. Bob Mac went to Holy Cross.
