Would the improved ticket sales with Pitino make up for much of the $8 million buyout compared to empty seats with CMA?
Not sure about Pitino's first few years but by his 3rd, when 5 star kids are coming, and they're a top10 program, tickets would be in high demand.
Forget Carnesecca, every game would have to be at MSG, and every game would be a sellout, mostly as a sea of red, like it used to be.
SJU would be the talk of the town, Pitino would be loved in NYC especially by SJU diehards..
He'd be throwing out the first pitch and Yankee stadium and Citi Field.

If you build it, they will come.
If you build excitement around the SJU program that probably hasn't happened since the Louie day, I promise, they will come.

Who is paying for these chartered flights? If it’s the school couldn’t the team take the train/bus or fly commercial and use the charter flight money for the buyout
Sure and 100 years we will have the money we need.

I'm already over being angry about this one. But I am terrified thinking about how bad this could get – over the rest of this season and in the next couple of years if CMA sticks around.
I think there is a good chance we may win only one more game the rest of this season.

Instead of waiting for the game I can already give you the postgame presser from Coach Anderson:
”Our defense wasn’t good enough”
”We can’t make excuses but the travel situation didn’t help”
”I thought we would be further along”
”Tough to win when you shoot like that”
”Turnovers really hurt us”
”Xavier can really shoot the ball”
I was never a big fan of hiring CMA I wanted Pitino. But I feel sorry for the coach. He is a good person. He is doing his best to recruit and get the team in sync. But he needs to go.
