This is a must win. We've been preaching the one game winning streaks, well this is a one game losing streak. We lost a tough one at Nova, learn from it and move on and take care of business vs Xavier. If we come out and play strong d we win by 15+. i don't think we will have as poor of an offensive showing Tuesday. Hopefully we can give these kids a good atmosphere and push them through this final stretch!
 
If we don't win ,we will have to at least make the finals of the BE tourney. Not many games left and our margin for error is slim.
 
We are a better team than when we played Xavier the first time, and Xavier is a worse team it looks like. They are sliding big time.

This is a team that has gone the opposite way with their season:

They started out 5-1 in the big east, and are 3-7 since. They got destroyed by Georgetown today, and looked awful.

If we play the way we've recently played at the garden, we win 75-60.
 
One thing I learned following sports is you can't go by comparative scoring. And the better team on paper doesn't always win. That said, I think we will win.
 
One game season from here on out. Talk of winning BET is fine, but then you may as well be Butler. Home cooking next 8 days - must take care of business.

Is this taking into account how other bubble teams perform? If we end up 3rd in the big east, I can't see how we don't make it in.

Hey, the more wins we have, the better our chances are that we get in.
Gotta get 22, and nothing less.
 
21 wins gets us in the dance, no doubt, I would like 24 to make it automatic but there is no way we are left out with 21, simple math, look at the other teams.
 
I'm pretty confident we will find a way to win this game. It would be a boost if we can play some dominate bball and blow them out, but like everyone is saying 'win and move on..' Still, today's game was there to be had. I was groaning with other fans today about how much Phil and Dom can just kill us at times - gotta hold your breath when they have the ball. Hopefully Xavier will be a clean, efficient W.
