Xavier game

It was clear in the first half that you have to have a point guard in the game and his name is Jordan.
NOT Harrison, nor PG, nor GG, nor Sanchez....we just each one direct the offense while
Jordan sat on the bench.
This loss if it comes as it seems inevitable is ALL on the coach for not putting the right players on the court
or even the wrong players with a point guard so they might be in a position to do their best.
 
Anyone else get the idea that Phil Greene would rather get his time and shots than the overall good of the team. Watching him a lot over the last few years gives me the impression that he is envious of guys like Harrison and he wants to be like him or be the hero. Lavin cant let that happen.


and I know a lot of people are going to disagree with this but just my opinion

Agree lineups haven't been great. Need to play Jordan, branch Harrison and Greene. Too much Gift in this game. Jordan needs to keep pushing and trying to score. They will have to start accounting for him. Our defense has also been poor this half. Gotta make some stops...
 
when Obekpa is on the floor we are playing 4 on 5 on offense. He gets the ball down low but has no idea how to get the ball to the basket. Sad really. Was he not working on this in the offseason?

Not at all. The kid is a pretty good scorer and that's his job. He won't always be an offensive spark plug though.
 
Obekpa can not play D We have no offense Get someone in who can hit a jump shot jordan should be driving more

Think PG is great team player and is a great asset in an off ball role...but under no circumstances should he be running the team...it cost us the lead here

and watching this game this is a team we should beat
 
Lavin needs to stop with these gimmicky lineups and recognize who is main eight players are. Some may say we are a better team than Xavier, but not a better coached one in my opinion.

I dont know about his motivations but I definitely agree in the fact that Lavin needs to do a better job of limiting PG's role in the offense. When the ball goes to his hands, nothing happens. He should be used more as a slasher and should not be running the O.

Ha! He does look like one of those kinda players.

He looks just like a couple of dudes from a rec. team that use to play in my area several years ago (called the Sharkheads).
 
It's on Lavin. Plain and simple. I turned this garbage off.

You play the same gimmicky defense all game long, they figured it out you bonehead, make some adjustments.

How many pick and pops on the wing or ball reversals can you actually run before the defense breaks down??? The answer is 100 and counting.

We have a great recruiter, and a clueless coach
