 Don't you think his name is a bit of a "oxymoron" I mean he will not shake hands with the player he blinsided because he is not a starter, please! This guy is an uttter embarassement to the University! Now that I think about it, he is more of a "moron" than a "oxymoron"

If you are going to make fun of someone....at least get their name right. His name is Metta World Peace........who's the moron now?
 
 Maybe one day we will have the opportunity to meet each other, and possibly have a friendly drink. At that time we might even share with each other our accomplishments, as well as our personal financial balance sheets. Than and only than will we determine who the moron really is, Jumbo.

 Jumbo, do me a favor, please help me correct all those grammatically incorrect posters who use my pet peve "could care less". If you could care less, it means that you actually care! This is just lazy English.I realize that many posters are guilty of "PWI" (as I often am as well), but this one really irks me!

Literally, I think that you are correct.

Over the course of time that phrase has become more like, but not exactly, an idiom and has gotten to mean the opposite of its literal interpretation.

I always get confused when someone says that ??????

I know I am correct. English was always one of my best subjects as well as other languages. My grandmother was an English teacher and lived with us when we were growing up. She drilled correct English into us. The phrase "could care less" is a lazy pronunciation of the phrase "couldn't care less", which is the correct phraseology. I hear announcers on television and radio use the incorrect phrase and I cringe every time I hear it. It makes them sound so stupid. I often wonder how they got their jobs and, better yet, how their bosses keep their jobs letting them go on sounding so stupid without correcting them. It makes the network and station they are on look less intelligent.
 
Wow! This went off topic really quick. Regarding Ron Artest.....He is embarrassing enough. Let's not help him by legitimizing the stupid name change. Geez, what an idiot!

Its a playoff series, he shouldn't be shaking his hand before a game. He can shake his hand and apologize to him after the series

The thing I love about this site is that it's consistent.

When I had a huge bank account I thought most of you people were morons.

Then when the economy tanked and I lost most of my bank account, I still thought most of you people were morons.
