William & Mary, Sat., Nov. 15, 6p, TruTV / 1050 AM

After the William & Mary game, I am officially concerned about SJU's 3pt shooting. Despite bringing in guys that had a history of being capable 3pt shooters, we're not that capable.

For all the angst and yes Jackson does not look right, he is still our third leading scorer and shooting 55% overall and 45% from three.
Funny Hopkins who looks laterally slow and not rebounding getting a pass from those on here.

Think Hopkins will be fine and do think part of problem with Jackson is Pitino doing his thing here with Jackson.

Agree 100%. Lefty must feel like crap about now.
Let me post the positives about Lefteris:

Right now, is not in the rotation, but rather than play me-first or get-mine in garbage time, he plays within himself and is a stabilizing force on offense rather than trying to fill a stat sheet in 5 minutes.

He is very solid fundamentally and won't hurt you on offense. He works hard on defense but I'm concerned about his ability to guard quicker athletic guards. Against Arkansas in the NCAAs it appeared guys were blowing past him, but then again with Wilcher and Richmond benched on fouls, Rick had little choice but expose Lefty to bad matchups.

I think his best opportunity will be situationally. He is a good shooter with refined instincts, and if he makes the most of any daylight given to him, could break into the rotation and won't disappoint.

In the meantime, he just has to keep his head up and work hard in practice. I'm sure he is making some coin so don't feel too bad. It's a long season and the game rewards many talents.

People calling out Dylan about perceived short comings should take a closer look. He had 4 steals, that’s being active on D. He was among the leaders in rebounds, plus/minus and minutes. At least Rick thinks he is doing a god job.
Very physical and fundamentally sound. Iowa State will be a good test for him. Can he stay in front of Lipsey? He's a smart player who knows how to maneuver screens. If Darling passes that test, then... we're off to the races.

Kadary started very tentatively too last year. I hope Jackson has the same trajectory this year as kadary had last.
I know people like drawing this analogy, but I don't think it works because unlike Ian, Kadary had done it before. It was never a question of whether he could be that guy. We were just waiting for him to be who he always had been. We don't know that about Ian just yet.

I like Darling but can’t see him playing 20+ effective mins against good comp. Defensively not going to be able to keep with athletic guards or with switching on D. Also his three point shot going to be an issue with our front line they going to pack it in on us.

He probably going have to play big mins but not ideal.

The defense is the major question I still have. Darling mentioned how terrible he was against Cadeau/Michigan with maneuvering screens, he said he fixed it. We have to see it.

This is interesting because, last night we saw a Darling/Sellers/Sanon/Ayo/Zuby line-up. That is probably our best spacing we can have, even if Darling proves to be a liability from three.
