What are you doing with no sports
binged on war of worlds. posters stated that the series was fine but the ending was poor. i second/third that statement. it was the same with the movie. movie was fine, its ending was poor.

on Good Friday, my wife says lets do the - visit 3 churches tradition. i said that the churches are closed. we went to 3 different Catholic churches and prayed in front of their locked doors. during the late 50's in jackson heights we honored Good Friday by walking to 3 churches. anyone else do/heard of this tradition?
We do the Stations of the Cross on Good Friday. I don't remember the 3 churches tradition but that is cool. My son got invited to do one of the readings for Easter Vigil for our parish's televised mass. Including the priest there were 5 people in the church. For Easter Sunday one of the nearby churches had a drive through blessing. There were hundreds of cars lined up and they created a parking lot maze to accommodate it. It took a while but we watched a televised mass on my son's phone, while queued up. Initially they were offering drive-up confessions but that got nixed almost immediately. I made a joke about getting a bucket of chicken but it did not go over well...
Now watching the Last Kingdom. Our hero Uhtred is up to his 3rd woman. I love it. My wife is not so crazy about the guy though. I wonder why?

Just watching the news and it is suppose to rain with potential for 70mph gusts. Let’s hope the power holds up. I don’t think I can take no tv. I’ve had enough.
I have seen these TV dramas and have read all novels in Bernard Cornwell's series "The Last Kingdom" upon which they are based and they are great, if you like the genre. I have read virtually all novels he has written as I enjoy historical fiction. I was first introduced to his work by the "Sharpe" series (a number of which were made into TV films starring Sean Bean). If you read any of his series, read them in chronological order as they build on each. Sharpe series turned out to be so popular that Cornwell went back and filled in the blanks.

Thanks for the info Brooklyn Red. I was completely unaware that this was based on this Author’s writing. I’ll have to check it out.
I am in the middle of season 2 and I hear they are coming out with a Season 4 shortly. Each of these episodes is about an hour. I have been binge watching which for me is a challenge. I get distracted with i pad but I have to say this show has me hooked.

What am I doing? In addition to drinking more wine than I should, I'm probably on the redmen.com site 30 times a day instead of the usual 10.

I started watching the HORSE competition last night. I lasted maybe 10 minutes. 1) I was quickly bored. 2) when I played HORSE as a kid, the idea was to take difficult shots that your opponent couldn’t match. Last night, they were shooting 15 foot bank shots!
What a total letdown!

Would rather watch a horse play basketball.

My TV watching has gone way down during this and when we do watch tv it’s pretty mindless dumb things. I unfortunately (or fortunately) have been working whenever Harrison takes a nap since to make up for lost work time watching him during the week.

Kira and I have also been walking a ton. We walk 6 and 4 miles on satirtuda and Sunday checking new parts of our neighbourhood we have never seen.

Just got back from my local wine store. Picked up three bottles of pinot noir. I'm hoping it will get me through the night. (Will be checking the board again shortly ... during commericials on "My 600-Lb Life.")

After seeing the comment about My 600 pound Life, I thought of something a friend mentioned to me---try on my jeans every few days rather than just living in elastic wasted sweats.
Tv not on as much

Friend told me about. Ozark on Netflix
Binged first two seasons now on season 3
Ozark is very good as is the new season of Harry Bosch, on Prime. Netflix has a promising new series, "Waco."

Was just binge watching Ozark. In one scene one of the lawyers mentions Nolan Richardson and the 40 minutes of hell. I immediately thought wow wouldn’t it be cool if they mentioned....and then there it was. She said something about Coach Mike Anderson. Must have been pretty cool to hear his name in the show.
