ozark - great series - binged season 3 this past weekend
Ruth Langmore is a great character. Best part of the show in my opinion. She's like a Flannery O'Connor character. The actress is from the Bronx.

She had a small part in the Americans which I really liked.

For those who do not have HBO, they have announced 500 free hours starting today until 4/30. You can check it out by going to HBONOW.com or HBOGO.com.
You can binge watch series you may have missed such as The Wire, Sopranos, etc. Now known as Stay At Home Box Office.

acorn tv free until april 9th
epix tv free until april 19th
i am enjoying 'godfather of harlem' on epix
any recommendations for shows on either of these 2 services?

I'm not a t.v. guy but my wife likes Little Fires Everywhere and Devs.

Having said that, I like Curb Your Enthusiasm, Schitt's Creek, 30 Rock and the original Arrested Development (not when they brought it back).

I was enjoying the War of the Worlds series on Epix up until the last episode which I was surprised to see listed as "Series Finale" and what a crap of a finale. I would skip the series just because of how they chose to end it.

As I mentioned in the Maher thread, Pennyworth is the best show on Epix for my tastes. Berlin Station is worth a watch.

How about Susie Essman in Curb Your Enthusiasm? Pretty good Potty Mouth.

Living with TV and internet 7 days per week. Series I recommend are Orthodox and My Brilliant Friend. Also watch a lot of old westerns when men were men but you never saw gruesome blood splatter when folks got shot.

I'm walking 6+ miles a day through some really sketchy neighborhoods in the dead of night for exercise. Have been throwing in some creepy alleys too. Haven't gotten mugged or murdered yet, so that's good. (For me anyway. Maybe not my wife.)

Started watching "Beastars" on Netflix if you like murder mystery cartoons starring anthropomorphic animals. First two episodes are good enough to keep me watching.

Waiting for season 3 of "Killing Eve," even though I have the entire second season to watch. Heard it's not as good as season 1, which was awesome, but I'm committed.

Anyone find a Monk marathon--that character really got the hand thing right. If only I could find hand wipes, I'd start calling my wife Sharona when I asked for a wipe.

I'm certain Monk is available on Amazon Prime and I think that includes all of the seasons.

One thing ticked me off is that I signed up for CBS "ALL ACCESS" but then one of the shows that I signed up to watch, based upon a recommendation, I cannot start from the beginning without paying extra to watch the earlier seasons. I don't want to start a new show 4 seasons in.

Am I stupid for assuming that All Access meant I would have all access?

That's weird. I thought there were only two plans, limited commercials and no commercials. I guess All is a relative term.

PS I've been enjoying Devs as well.

Channel 698 in the Bay Area on Comcast, H&I channel whatever that is, looks like it's starting it from the beginning in a couple hours. I just stumbled upon the two-part series finale right now.

Was a good time to focus in on the Lenten season. Did some spiritual reading. Made some donations to the needy. Watched EWTN on television. Fasted. Drank alcohol only once a week. Lost 15 pounds. Said a daily rosary. Watched Holy Week streaming presentations on television. HAPPY EASTER TO ALL

Love the H&I channel, especially it's All Star Trek Block six nights a week (every day but Saturday).

8pm Original Series
9pm Next Generation
10pm Deep Space Nine
11pm Voyager
12am Enterprise

As far as All Access is concerned, I believe that you can only do the current seasons of shows that air on CBS. It's the only drawback, IMO. The originals, and the old shows that they have, can be viewed in full.

You sound (justifiably) annoyed. Before you get totally bent out of shape I suggest you refer to Mr. P. Massell’s tag line.

Now watching the Last Kingdom. Our hero Uhtred is up to his 3rd woman. I love it. My wife is not so crazy about the guy though. I wonder why?

Just watching the news and it is suppose to rain with potential for 70mph gusts. Let’s hope the power holds up. I don’t think I can take no tv. I’ve had enough.

binged on war of worlds. posters stated that the series was fine but the ending was poor. i second/third that statement. it was the same with the movie. movie was fine, its ending was poor.

on Good Friday, my wife says lets do the - visit 3 churches tradition. i said that the churches are closed. we went to 3 different Catholic churches and prayed in front of their locked doors. during the late 50's in jackson heights we honored Good Friday by walking to 3 churches. anyone else do/heard of this tradition?
