Welcome Ruben Prey

What Im encouraged by is mostly his ability to get up and down the court. If they can work on his mid range (10 feet and in shot), with his ability to put the ball on the floor, he could be an imposing wing (4), not just a 5.
Agree! Highlights i saw indicate nice midrange shot, great footspeed, good with both hands at the basket. But i did not see a lot of rebounding and i dont know level of competition either. So, nice to get excited in June but i will reserve judgement with all new players until i see them on the court against BE competition. At this time last year i heard guaranteed top 25 and NCAA! I am excited and think we will be better but ……..

Fair enough.
I'm positive on Prey and this roster--some high-level to even elite additions (Kadary, Deivon, Aaron) to go with key returning guys (R.J., Zuby), promising rising sophs (Simeon, Brady}, and Vincent, 3 intriguing newbies (Glover, Lefty, Maker), and Sadiku, but let's see what we've got when the balls start bouncing.

"RUBEN, RUBEN, I've been thinking" We just may have
a top team now.
What a great season this could be !!!!

Ruben doesn't necessarily fall into this category, but we have a lot more talent that's already proven themselves in top tier leagues than we did last year.

Excited for the season but will reserve judgment on guys I haven't seen play at the college level. If there is one thing we are great at on redfans it is overhyping new recruits.
Very true indeed but some of the posters deserve NIL $ for the positive hype!
On paper this is one of the deepest teams since the Lavin era. Certainly more 4* level players than any team since that time.
However, molding all that elite talent into a cohesive unit is always a challenge in the NIL world.

Agree Rocket. That last Mullin team was very talented but talent only went 5 deep

Seriously? The next year Rowan and Jackson showed what they had and what Lou left on bench. Willie Glass and Moses had no offense. We could have beaten Gt. Lou was more conservative than Herbert Hoover in making changes. He had three opportunities to beat Thompson’s box and one on Mullin. You know how many game and line up changes he made in those three games? None. I love Lou. But he failed big time that year. And his bench coach Mahoney was a lightweight.

Looking at Vegas odds, right now we are tied at 15th in country in terms of best odds to win the national championship. This season is not one to sleep on.

Sorry I was talking about last Mullin coached team not last team Mullin played on.

Did you read Alumni Hall’s post regarding the game plan going into the Final Four and how an injury the day before scuttled the plan?

And you couldn’t be more wrong about Mahoney as a bench coach (and scout).
