Welcome Brandon Gardner

Love you, Paultman, but as a longtime fan with a long, long list of disappointments under my belt, I 'd been holding my breath on this for what seemed like forever (worried about Arkansas). Feels so good to breathe again. Apologies for doubting you.

Great great for the staff, hopefully the dots start to connect wit’s Gardner wanting to recruit other star recruits here.

NYC is attractive for a lot of different reasons, and the staff has found it’s bearings and belonging in Queens.

Shoutout to Van for recruiting his tail off on this one.

Shoutout to the fans who were constantly reminding this kid of how wanted he was.

Next Brandon hopefully in line to follow, just have to keep the press on his.

Oh, and blow his social network handle up just like we did for Gardner. This is the way to go if there’s any more doubt IMO.

I'm still holding my breath, just a little bit, till BG suits up and takes the court for us in 2023

Love this!!

There appears to be three main reasons for the improvement in the SJU recruitment results.
1 the uptempo style of play Anderson favors
2 the family atmosphere Anderson has installed at SJU
3 playing games at MSG
Anderson is responsible for one and two but Cragg must pick up the baton for three. It is probably too late for the coming season but he must schedule a top ten team at MSG for the following year. Even if you lose to a Duke or Kansas it doesn’t hurt your NCAA chances and those games are what attracts the general public.
I'll add a number 4 to this list, and that's a truly professional staff working their tails off!

Welcom Brandon, Congratz to the staff. Has anyone seen the Brandon play in person? THe way it sounds is he is a combo of Postel and artest. That would really be fine by me :)

Been very fortunate to get to know Brandon and his family over the last 4-5 months. When I tell you this kid is amazing, I mean it. His mother is a saint and has raised him right. He's going to be a fan favorite with his play and how he carries himself off the court.

I was fortunate to get to sit down with Brandon for a few minutes talking about his commitment yesterday. Put out the episode this morning. Thanks to Paultzman for sharing a clip earlier. Here's the link to the full podcast episode about 10 minutes.

Tomorrow I have an episode coming out where Zach Braziller of the NY Post joined me to break this commitment down and what it means for this program. Super insightful. Hope you all enjoy.

it's an amazing day in Queens...super thrilled for the Gardner family!

By year four-ish of both the Lavin and Mullin regimes we had very little if any momentum on the recruiting trail. CMA and his staff are GAINING momentum in year four. Loving what I'm seeing!
On Twitter there were a bunch of guys sho said CMA can't recruit. My exact words to them were: when we land Gardner this tweet won't age well.

I think the most important is NIL. Aside from *maybe* UCLA what other program has the possibility that St Johns does?

Been saying consistently on this site that MSG is one of the best recruiting tools we have. This commitment proves it. Enough of the comments about scheduling games at other venues. We need more games at MSG, not less. Hopefully this commitment and the others that will follow will move the administration to do that. Onward and upward!
