There are guys in the NBA who have larger muscles than others and are good outside shooters. The key is when in the weight room not to do a “body builder’s” workout but one that helps build lean muscle mass and strength while maintaining flexibility. That is why we have a strength and conditioning coach who you would think knows the difference. I am sure Julian is not trying to get into the pros with a body like the late Anthony Mason who looked like a body builders and while a good NBA player, was not a great outside shooter.usguard post=440067 said:It’s a known fact that large muscles in your arms can not help rather they can hinder your outside shooting. Now if your a post player that is another story

He'll be ready for the season. It's not a concern. Not ready for full contact as of the first practice last week but should be soon.Room112 post=440096 said:So a couple of months ago he was in a cast. Any idea if the injury is fully healed?
You must be right. I once read that Lou Ferrigno was a 5* shooting guard until that accident with the gamma radiation... /media/kunena/emoticons/smile.pngMonte post=440102 said:From my own personal experience,
working out your arms and upper body to much and too often, while playing ball regularly, can throw off your shot. I don't think it's much of an issue during the off season, but I'd venture a guess that most players, especially ball handlers and shooters, go easy on their upper body workouts during the season. I got no scientific evidence(follow the science!) to back this up, it's just based on my own experiences when I played.

There was a big write up in the Toronto papers last weekend where Coach Nurse expressed how much he liked Justin and that Justin was doing everything possible to stay in the league. Wishing him the very best of luck and looking forward to watching him play.NCJohnnie post=440241 said:Justin played 23 minutes for Raptors last night with 10 points and 6 rebounds. I'm hearing they've liked what they've seen so far and not impossible he may stick with team.

QUEENS, N.Y. (Nov. 4, 2021) – With less than a week remaining before the official start of the 2021-22 college basketball season, St. John’s junior wing Julian Champagnie has been named to the preseason watch list for the NABC Player of the Year Award, it was announced on Thursday by the organization. Champagnie is one of only 20 players nationwide to qualify for the preseason watch list. Champagnie and fifth-year Villanova guard Collin Gillespie are the only two BIG EAST players in the league to earned selection to the watch list.

My money is on Trevion Williams over Jackson-Davis and Timme, with Abmas as my long shot winner.Paultzman post=441406 said:SJU
