I didn’t see that part of the game, but that immediately jumped out to me on the box score. Wonder what the story was there?
He has a complete lack of coordination and he has no awareness. If he comes in we have to go to a straight up 2-3 zone.

As soon as he came out Prey and Ayo led a 10-2 run. I truly don’t understand why he plays. Prey never hurts us. Ayo never hurts us.

Those couple chucks to beat the shock clock killed us. Close Q1 win so does nothing to hurt resume. Pisses me off as I think we just got a little unlucky. Downside is losing what could have been a strange hold on BE title. Sundays a must win 😂

Didn’t feel we played well at all tonight, honestly. Aside from solid offense down the stretch where multiple guys hit timely buckets. That was nice to see, but our defense was kind of all over the place, and we were weak and lazy with the ball a lot.

I was surprised we had a chance to steal this one. But that Tyler Perkins kid is very good once he puts it all together.

Not going to overreact to this one. Beat Creighton at home. Stay in the driver seat for first

Scott picked up two fouls. Zuby needed a blow. Rick didn’t want to roll just Prey out there as his only “big” (I disagree). Vince was his usual horrific self
I know you said it in parenthesis but Rick has to get over the Vince thing. One of the extremely consistent things this season is Vince getting on the court and immediately aiding the other team going on a run. So predictable. Outside of his very helpful minutes against X at home, idk what he’s done since.

I’m beyond upset with this team right now. This was a golden opportunity to solidify our tournament resume, and instead, we go into Villanova and completely lay an egg. How many times are we going to watch this team fall flat in a big road game?

The offense was stagnant, the defense had breakdowns at the worst possible moments, and once again, we let a winnable game slip away. Where was the urgency? Where was the fight? Villanova is not a great team this year, but we made them look like world-beaters.

The bench was non-existent, the rotations were questionable, and we played like a team that expected to just show up and win. Rick Pitino is a Hall of Famer, but even he has to be furious with how sloppy and uninspired this team looked. We were in position to win this game, and we completely blew it.

This team needs to wake up fast. The Big East isn’t getting any easier, and performances like this will have us sweating on Selection Sunday instead of feeling confident. I don’t care how good we’ve looked at times this season—losses like this cannot happen if we want to be taken seriously.

Embarrassing.
That’s one hell of a 50th post. 👌

This team has very little room for error. It took a great game by Scott to keep us in this one. We need to be at full strength with Smith as our bench offensively is non existent. Sadly our D let us down on Novas last possession by giving them a good theee.

It is clear to me that unless we get a consistent offensive game from Kadary, Luis, Smith and Zuby there will be more losses before seasons end.

Yeah, he's been terrible. Prey has given us no offense, but at least he plays great D and rebounds. If he could start knocking down the occasional three that would be an added bonus.

Offers little, but gives away a lot, rhythm breaker and panics leading to turnovers.

You go with one of your shooters who just made a long three. Run the play for him as he may have another one in him, and go for the win on the road.
Completely disagree, that’s when you have a reliable shooter. When has Wilcher ever shown you to hit consecutive shots??? You go by percentages and Wilcher shooting was not a good one. Didn’t you learn that lesson from the Yukon game? Who didn’t make the shot, who did??

I think the one thing this entire board agrees on is that short of garbage time Vince can’t play under any circumstances. After one of the games Rick said “Vince is a much better player than he’s showing” so he must be doing something decent in practice and Rick is hoping to just get him to be a neutral and steal some minutes.

I can’t imagine Rick rolls him out there again. Even if we need the size against Kalkbrenner on Sunday he’s gonna have to try someone other than Vince
