Overall we are better with him playing 20 minutes.

Joel might be the only one we are better off with playing much more than 20. I’d personally argue Alleybe as well.

Other than Jenkins and Joel, have a feeling its going to be mix and match going forward based on who we're playing.

Rarely do I watch a game anymore where I see less than 7 or 8 examples of a player playing textbook defense, forcing an extremely low % shot, only to see the offense bailed out by trying to slap steal the ball or block the shot. I could have put my fist through the TV watching Jenkins fouling while trying to block Dixon’s 3 pointer up double digits with 2 minutes or so left. But we could write a book on the dumb plays down the stretch.

Jenkins had 18 points on 17 shots today. 7 shots more than anyone else on the team. He must think he is Isiah Thomas quality point guard. Well he isn't. Jenkins has indeed played better the past few games, but he is selfish, misses the open man more than he finds him, dribbles too much and shoots too much, especially from 3. There is too much talent on this team for Jenkins to possess the ball as much as he does. He will kill us in a big spot before this year is over.

By the way Dunlap had 15 points on 8 shots. Jenkins missed him about 3 times open cutting to the basket. A good point guard would have delivered those passes.

Jenkins had 18pts, 3 Rebounds, 5 Assists and 3 steals. A good all around game. Yes, he had 3 turnovers but he hit some big shots in big spots. Him and Soriano are irreplaceable.

Not singling any individual out, but the nitpicking on Jenkins has gone beyond ridiculous. We get a wire to wire win at Villanova with Jenkins hitting clutch buckets during the Cats attempted comeback. He is a lead guard more than a point guard. Accept it. We have been mediocre for so long but try to enjoy the ride we are on with Pitino. It won’t last forever.

Agree. We ride with Jenkins. He's our guy for our team

I don’t mind the turnovers. I mind the bad shots. Just because you hit a bad shot doesn’t mean it wasn’t a bad shot. He took (and made) a step back 3 when he was 1-4 from 3…24.6% on the year. That’s just stupid. He didn’t even look for anyone either.

Joel was eating Dixon alive and he got 9 shots.

And he does bring a lot of good stuff to table, leadership, winning attitude, key drives to the basket and seems to make clutch shots. I’ll keep him.

Read espkens post. There really is no need to harp on some of his missed shots. Does he take more than he should? Of course. But he’s a very good player for us overall. And coach loves him.

Neither will Jenkins, thank God. You can call him a point guard or a lead guard. What does that matter. I call him a ball hog, who takes way too many shots for someone who misses so many of them.
