As a long-suffering St. John’s fan and past season ticket holder, it's so frustrating to finally have a coach like Rick, and a roster starting to come around, and have a winnable game on the road. Only to not have a full, healthy team on the floor today. As many have said, maybe 1 or 2 step up besides the usuals. Maybe Dingle comes to play today, and Drissa and Zuby have solid games as well. Go Redmen!
In previous regime, I’d assume a loss today, not this one. Not having your best guys at same time is frustrating, but it is not just us when you look at road ahead for PC, who lost their star for year, Nova not having best scorer for number of games, Xavier, M’Q lost key guard for a while, etc. Thankfully Pitino in short order fleshed out a competent and deep roster to get through situations like this. Hopefully experienced guys like Dingle and others will step up today. A road win under less than ideal situation would really give team added confidence and merit media attention. We have a solid shot today, let’s do it.

My best guess is that Pitino held both out of practice because an ankle can get aggravated pretty easily and shin splints are kind of a wear and trear injury. Certainly both could get aggravated in the Butler game, but I didn't see any evidence of Ledlum reinjuring it. My guess is and this is pretty normal, the next morning his ankle was swollen and stiff and he was hobbling a bit. No need to aggravate it with practice, so hydrotherapy and I'm going to guess he plays.

Luis a little trickier. He seemed fine right after the game, going into stands with family and/or friends. But it's possible he woke up the next day and it took a step backwards.

I'm going to bet both play today, but less sure about Luis. I'd say Ledlum is 80% going to play, Luis maybe 60%.

I'll prob be wrong, but I think that's an educated guess.
I’d take that Beast, but for his own good, I think they sit Chris and Luis will play, but with tightly managed minutes. We’ll see.

Agree completely.

Game wise, this is where having an entire roster of guys who have played competitive (non-garbage time) minutes, Rick has a lot of flexibility in terms of who he decides to play. We are probably in for some surprises. It may be Drissa who gets Ledlum minutes, or maybe we go three guards at times. We do know Glen Taylor is fresh and eager to go.
Ledlum definitely came up gimpy in the first few minutes of butler came but then got taped up and played through it

Aw, why don’t we just give them a shot of something , like they fo with Horses and get them to the Starting gate , er, Tip off .

I’m not serious or Shirley but , these are nagging type injuries . Doesn’t seem like you can play through them .

And , with Sports Betting what it has become , Player injuries are significant .

I wonder if Dr Bodkin knows Dr Kildare or Ben
Casey ?

Just when you think you know everything about Greg. He blind sides us again with new info :)

Sag awards movie screener dvd's coming out soon. Nathalie opted in for the dvd's I'm too tech challenged to be doing the digital screeners
I do DVD's as well just in case there's actually a good one that I might want to watch a few times.

I never met you Greg but I would have taken for you to play the tough older guy who gets all the chicks in Florida.
I actually played a Mafia Don in a movie called "Raising Heroes". When you look it up, I don't want you to be surprised. It's actually a gay action film, really. Full disclosure, I'm not gay, but once again I played one! Not in that movie but on stage. 😜 ;) 😁

Just cause Dunlap had a few nice shots in a home game doesn’t mean he’s ready to play at Nova and guard all their shooting guards and wing players. Personally, I think he’s in over his head defensively in this game. You guys anointing him as a starter after one game is a bit premature. I’ll be happy if we get 10 good minutes out of him. Also feel that losing Ledlum is a big loss on the boards and takes away an advantage we needed to give Nova a game.
Well when the coach tells you that Dunlap was going to start if Ledlum was unavailable when we played Butler on Tuesday, and when he is the first sub and comes in for Ledlum early in the Butler game, it pretty easy to think there is a good a more than reasonable chance he might start one game later if Ledlum can’t go.
