I'm going to this game. My best friend from high school is a nova grad and his family has owned season tickets for years (his dad also went there)

Nice of them to lend me one of the tickets for this one. I wonder if they'll regret that I'm there if we come out with a win :)

Had to be more to it with Taylor getting 8 seconds on the court before the end of half. Thats just bizarre.

Whatever just glad that all have positive attitude.

hoping to make the trip out to Villanova for game. Any tips on where to find tickets? Ticketmaster listing prices as if it were an nba playoff game .

I checked Stubhub, but the cheapest ticket on there is $100. Kind of crazy.

I dont think it was more at all. Taylor is an average big east player. Brady has been practicing well and Pitino decided to give him a shot. He was playing well so he was not going to be taken out. Ledlum and RJ were getting minutes so there just was not room for taylor last night.

When we need some tough D, he will be back in there. But if RJ and Brady are playing well, they bring much more on offense so taylor might be the odd an out.

Truly believe we are a better team than Nova. They only go about 7-8 deep and they don't shoot well. I'll take Soriano over Dixon any day. Ledlum's physicality can neutralize Burton. They've got some decent guards in Moore and Bamba, but I think our depth and length on the wing will give them fits. Luis is a matchup nightmare for them. We're starting to round into form and I believe we'll make a statement.

Rough patch of the season coming now. We're going to have to try and fight through some losses while staying strong in the belief that there is light at the end of the tunnel with 2 coming against Depaul and Georgetown last month of the season.

Moore has been out, Bamba struggling a lot, we have better depth, but they are at home, will be slight favorite, always defend & play well together, so this will be a tight one for sure. Respect them, they merit that.

Forgot that Moore has been out. Gives us an even bigger edge in the backcourt and on the wing where I already felt we had an advantage. Nova of course should not be taken lightly ever but I feel confident.

Unless we are playing a big team with a center that is a scoring threat, would just go small for 10 mins that Soriano sits.
Would go Soriano, Ledlum, Luis, Alleyne, Jenkins
Dingle, Dunlap, Taylor
9th man Wilcher for minor mins
Zuby on a need only basis

Matt C having visions of being at the Nova away game Lavins first year :)

As was reported. As I said several times in the Butler thread, it was about matchups. You just have to look at the end result to see that.

We match up as well with Nova as we do with anyone. We’ve done well against bigger teams that aren’t exceedingly quick.

They might be the best FT shooting team in the country and we might be the best offensive rebounding team in the country. Whichever one of those extremes dominates will likely decide this game.

Keep Joel at home in the lane…more zone principles than man for everyone. Get a hand in Dixon’s face. Make sure Alleyne has his running shoes on.
