Villanova (MSG), Wed., Jan. 24, 8:30p, FS-1

Decided to look into Nova’s 6-25 from 3 shooting night to see if they were just missing open 3s or if our guys did a good job contesting.

Full game is on YouTube and looked up the ESPN pbp to find when they took their shots. Took about 5-10 mins to go through the first half.

Quality might be crappy but attached the pics here. Might do the 2nd half in a little bit. They were 3-14 in the first half
Nice job

Looking at the LIRR train schedule home tomorrow and having to wait in Penn Station till 11:20pm and avoiding Roses Pizza while waiting for the train will require the most focus and sheer willpower mjmaherjr has ever exerted. I gotta hope for overtime and game ending at 11:05pm

LIRR must be getting pizza royalties with this train schedule

Just finished watching Georgetown get it's butt kicked by the X men. I feel sorry for those guys and Cooley. I remember when we were about that bad.
Not as bad as Cooley's wife kicking his butt last year.

Don't feel bad for anyone making that kind of money.

Also having anxiety over late trains home. Either the 1120 or 1135.

Dunlap is such a streak shooter. If he misses his first, please don’t play him 30 minutes. If he is healthy enough, would love for Dingle to play 30 minutes, and not fear he will come out after every mistake - I bet he will put up 20 plus

Why tonight is a must win vs. Villanova:

Ok, not a must must win, but as close as there can be at this point.

At 4-4, a quick look at the standings show that 9 of 11 Big East teams are at one win below .500 or better. Without analyzing each team's record so far, it's very fair to say all 9 are capable of playing good basketball and stay around .500 all season. 10-10 will surely not get an at large bid, and 11-9 may not get a bid if that's a 6th or 7th place finish.

IMO if we get to 11-9 we have a good shot at a bid, 12-8 would be a lock.

While it's way to early to project final records, 4-5 would require a strong finish (7-4 or 8-3) to secure a bid. It also could put us in 9th place by the weekend, a gigantic tumble.

Also tonight will close out our first season series and we can do that with a sweep. Trust me, Villanova knows the home loss puts them in the hole vs. a team that is merely good. They will come out fighting to reverse the home loss.

Big game. Maybe pivotal and essential.

Go Johnnies! Go zuby, Joel, Jenk, Brady, Ledlum, Dingle, Glenn, RJ, Traore!

Good thing I decided to drive in. Would offer you a ride back to the Island but I'm staying at my brother's in Brooklyn
